The cozy living room (with seating for four) opens to the dining area (with a table that expands to seat 6) and a coffee station (with a Keurig and a drip coffee maker). Sparkling quartz countertops and a beautiful tile backsplash highlight the kitchen, which includes a four-burner gas range with a griddle, a rolling butcher block island, and a 24” dishwasher. The laundry room is behind the kitchen, along with a full bath with a curved shower. The light-filled bedroom off the entry has a Queen bed, comfortable reading chair, and an adjoining office with a desk. A narrow stairway leads to the master bedroom (King) and a third guestroom with twin beds. The upstairs bath has a clawfoot tub/shower. Relax in the sunshine in the Adirondack chairs out front, barbecue out back, stroll to the beach, or head downtown to explore restaurants, cafes, galleries, boutiques, antique shops, and a cinema. We had a fantastic stay at the Saltbox. It was the perfect size for our family and was stocked with everything we needed. Parking was a challenge, particularly on the night of our late arrival, but we made it work and got to brush up on our parallel parking skills. We loved the location and the quick access to PG, Pebble and Monterey. We can't wait to return next year.

Saltbox was a wonderful place to stay, had we been there longer we could have taken advantage of the well stocked kitchen for longer stays. The beds were very comfortable. I appreciated the bedroom/bath with walk in shower on the first floor for my mother who can't do stairs. It was the perfect distance to walk down to the water each morning to watch the sunrise and close for walking to the restaurants/shops. The communication was easy and we had no issues with our stay.

Salt box was a perfect choice for the 4 of us. The location couldn’t have been better, we never drove anywhere. Shops, restaurants, the beach, movie theatre and museum were all an easy short walk. The kitchen was well stalked as well. Anything we needed for cooking was there. Very enjoyable stay.

My only suggestion would be a patio umbrella for the table out back. Could keep in the shed when not being used.

We enjoyed our stay at Saltbox immensely! The location was amazing! We enjoyed walking down to Lover's Point daily and loved being able to walk to yummy restaurants for breakfast or dinner. And property itself was perfect for our family. It was cute, clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved the local guide books and the game collections. The owner was very communicative leading up to our stay, which was greatly appreciated. I would love to return to Saltbox in the future! Thank you for the perfect getaway!

The house is located in the perfect spot. The house was clean and very comfortable to relax in. My friends and I loved how we could easily access downtown Pacific Grove. We rented a car and enjoyed being so close to enjoy Monterey, Carmel by the Sea, and Big Sur. The house will have everything you could possibly need. The only recommendation I would make is to have one full length mirror. Definitely recommend Saltbox!

House was clean and very well situated with Lovers Point Beach and Lighthouse Ave both easily in walking distance. Parking is pretty bad as the one way street allows parking only on one side. There is currently construction going on both next door and across the street so there is daytime noise and even more limits in parking so the construction workers can park. No off street parking that we could see. Kitchen was well stocked and note about no condiments and stuff seemed outdated as that stuff was there to a point. There was even a small amount of coffee pods for the Keurig but if you drink much coffee, bring your own. It is overpriced for sure.

This was a fantastic place to stay. Everything so clean and well equipped…loved the puzzles! And the coffee making apparatus is the BEST!! (Get beans from Captain+Stoker a few blocks away on Forest.) Back patio was lovely. Really comfortable communal space of kitchen, dining, living areas. Two minute walk to ocean and the seal pups, two minute walk to cafes and shops. Great location for a day trip to Big Sur.

We enjoyed our stay here. The location was great as there are walkable restaurants and the beach and walking trails nearby. I had one question that I emailed the property manager and he was super fast and professional with his response. My only complaint was that parking was sometimes tricky, as we had to park a block or two away when the spots in front of the house were full. But overall, the house served our needs perfectly!

The property was perfect for us. My Mom, sister and I came for my nephew’s wedding at the Memory Gardens. Perfect location and convenient to local restaurants and only 1 block to the beach. Good Old Days festival was a bonus!! Would definitely rent again! The only complaint from my companions was the lack of a full body mirror… lol

The property was wonderful. We love the location. Convenient walk to restaurants, bars, and the ocean. Only problem was poor communication from our host. I emailed him prior to arriving looking for a business center to print out some documents. I then texted him. I never got a response. On a second night the power went out around 8:30 PM. I immediately message Tim looking for candles, or flashlight. Again, zero response. So the rest of that night was in the dark.

The house was very nice, plenty of room for our 2 families, and just minutes to walk to Lover Point and the ocean side walk. One thing I would change is to bring the King size bed downstairs for the older folks not interested in climbing stairs. The Rental agent was very helpful when the power went out on the entire penisula and beyond. Would stay again.

We liked this place very much. The neighborhood has a lot of historical significance and the proximity to the beach, cannery row and downtown Pacific Grove was awesome. Beds were good. Kitchen great, everything worked. Parking was fine.

This was our second stay at the Salt box, we stayed there a year ago with my sister and brother in law and loved it. We loved everything about our stay this trip, but with one exception. The construction work on the house next door started early every morning. I wish we would have been made aware of this before hand. Other than that, the home was clean and well maintained, the kitchen had all the essentials for cooking. We will be back!

This house is conveniently located between Lovers Point and Lighthouse. Unit is clean and updated. Kitchen is a little cramped but we were able to make do. The stairs leading up are most likely best for a younger adult as they are steep and have a short deck. Neighborhood is quiet but parking could be an issue. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Great location in Pacific Grove. Walking distance to Lover's Point and downtown. Quiet neighborhood. Property worked well for me, my husband, my mother, and our 2 toddlers. My husband and I were in the upstairs main bedroom which shares a bathroom with the room that has 2 twin beds. My 3-year-old was in one of the twin beds and we brought a pack n play for our 1-year-old which fit well in the room. My mother had the room downstairs with her own bathroom. Would recommend this property.
