About this cabin rental
While relaxing on the huge deck overlooking the river, you will hear the roaring rapids, see the abundance of wildlife and be wowed by the breathtaking views. This 3-bedroom, 3-bath cabin sits on 1 1/2 acres that will give you a rustic feel with modern conveniences. The moderate hike to the river will lead you thru the woods and past many additional river viewing spots. There are two fire pits available to make your smores and memories.
The space
The cabin has 2 bedrooms (2 queen) on the main level and the master (king) upstairs. There is a full basement with a washer/dryer and game rooms. It also has central heat & air. There is a full bathroom on every level and 2 walkout decks overlooking the woods and river. The kitchen has recently (5/2023) been redone with all new cabinets and granite countertops.
Guest access
It is in a gated community with 4 access gates. We recommend coming in the main gate only. It is a huge resort with lots of twisty roads. We are located about 3 miles from that gate with only 5 turns required. Most roads are paved, only the last one is gravel. We have a driveway where you can park next to the house. Additional parking also available within short distance.
The resort amenities are available for $5 per guest per day. We have 2 outdoor pools and a rec center with an indoor pool, workout space, tennis courts and putt putt.
Other things to note
We are kid friendly, but not necessarily 100% "kid safe". Our kids are grown so we don't have the special furniture (unless you consider our outdoor swing one). It is on the side of a mountain so the terrain can be steep. We have steps to make it easier and safer. It does have 300 ft of river access. On our side, the river is shallow and great for wading. In the middle, the river flows fast with deep parts so while it's fun to go in, younger kids need to be watched.

This has been an amazing week! My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary and spent the time listening to the river right below our cabin. Usually when we book a VRBO there is minimal kitchen ware, while the kitchen wasn't stocked like a chef kitchen would be, it was stocked enough, that we didn't want for anything.The bathrooms already had soap, shampoo and conditioner, (we did bring our own, but we used his instead) He also provided laundry detergent, which we were able to wash our clothes, and not having to wait until we get back home. The king size bed upstairs is a really firm mattress, my husband loved it. I eventually moved downstairs to one of the other beds, as it was less firm. Overall, we still loved the cabin. It is such a beautiful cabin, and we've enjoyed it so much. Thank you Dan, for letting us stay at your cabin.

Wow! In person the property was better than listed. We went with the intention of doing some things away from the property and ended up using the tubes at the cabin and tubing the river in the mornings - ending at the cabin and eating lunch, then going tubing again in the afternoon. It was so much fun. We loved the deer that visited in the mornings. Had fun making smores. And hanging out on the deck relaxing. Dan responded quickly to our concerns and went above and beyond in taking care of us. Thank you for a wonderful stay. My sisters are not wanting to wait 2 years for our next sister trip and want to go back next year.

The place is beautiful, deer visit by the dozen everyday. It's nice more than moderate hike to the water but very worth it to me. There was lots of extras to keep is busy right there as well as plenty ro explore and do locally.
