This fantastic cabin offers all the charm you expect when you rent a cabin in the woods at Wallowa Lake! This home features an all-wood interior throughout with a vintage kitchen equipped with modern appliances. This charming cabin is sure to become a hit with the whole family. The main floor area of the home has a well-appointed living room with a flatscreen TV, comfortable furnishings, and a wood-burning fireplace. Off the living room, you'll find the first main-floor primary bedroom, a bathroom with shower/tub combo, and the main-floor guest bedroom.
The kitchen includes vintage red countertops with a distinctly modern feel and all the space and appliances you need to prepare wonderful meals. The dining area is just on the far side of the kitchen. Climb the stairs to find the upper bedroom featuring a king-size bed, a twin bed, a sitting area with an awesome window, and a bathroom with a shower stall. The outdoor covered living space will keep you cool in the summer and dry in the spring. There is no better place to sit back and enjoy the seasoned beauty of Wallowa County! 4WD/traction may be required in winter.
No fires or fire pits are ever allowed due to the heavily timbered area and county restrictions.
Seasonal BBQs are available from Memorial Day through Labor Day. BBQs are propane and tanks are provided. We strongly encourage you to review your tank level in the morning and if a replacement is needed please reach out to your local contact for a tank replacement.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

The cabin was cozy, comfortable, and charming, covered deck is wonderful, but the only view are the pine trees. There was one reason that we would probably not return to this location and that is the nightmare of trying to gain access into the house. It was very, very warm outside when we arrived and all of the instructions told us repeatedly to use the lock box to the right of the door. However, the code they gave us was not a code for a lock box, because it repeated several of the same numbers. The type of lockbox to the right of the door frame only allows you to use each number once. I then tried the same code on the deadbolt lock. That’s actually on the door. That did not work either. Keep in mind we’re standing in the heat of 94 beating down on us. I then looked up the information and found a number to chat with. To their credit, someone from VACASA immediately texted me back and gave me another code to try. That code also did not work. Then we tried a third code. No luck on that.I then had to send a picture of both of the locks to the person I was chatting with. I eventually got the lockbox to release a key, but the key did nothing in the door because the deadbolt required a different code. The person I was chatting with was as helpful as they could be, but it took us almost 1 hour in the heat to gain entry. There needs to be one lock system for less confusion and correct information needs to be given to the renter.

The cabin is walking distance from everything including the Marina. Great views of the mountains. Large sleeping area upstairs. Cabin has AC and updated tvs.

Plus side: Kitchen is well-supplied with lots of utensils, pans, crock pot, blender, glasses, plates, a few spices, etc. Internet worked fine. We were able to stream on the TV. Downstairs has a mini-split a/c unit; upstairs does not. Location is on the far north end of the resort area, so walks to the go-cart area are a little long, but do-able. Laundry and dishwasher worked fine. The covered porch with tables & chairs ended up being our gathering spot -- very pleasant. Cons: Outside furniture can be dusty and covered in pollen. Directions to check in were for the ancient keypad which doesn't work. There is a modern Schlage keypad on the actual front door lock, so use that! The upstairs beds are not in great shape, and there is no a/c up there but they provided 2 box fans. The largest window up there wouldn't open for ventilation and there was a "Part Ordered" sticky note on it. Overall, it was a good stay for grandparents, adult children, and 2 boys ages 14 and 10. Easy to get to resort activities and the state park, as well as over to Joseph, Enterprise, etc. We would stay there again if we needed a place for 6 people.

We came to enjoy the wildlife and wilderness of beautiful Wallowa. The home was beautiful and fit all of us but i will say the check in and check out times could be better. I have cleaned homes before and have worked hotels as well it does not take a cleaning crew 6hrs to clean a home. We asked for early check in and a late check out and they wanted 30% of last night stay for a late check out. We never got notified for early check in but got to house at 330 when check in wasnt until 4 and no one was there when cleaning crew was done at house why couldn't they send a text to whoever and then we could have checked in early. Just feel like you pay for 4 days but only really get yo enjoy 3days at the house. Maybe change check into 3pm and check out to 11 or 12. Thank you again for sharing your home it was beautiful and we would stay again if check in and out were different times.
