Nestled in the breathtaking landscape of Joseph, Oregon, this charming house offers a serene escape for families and adventure seekers alike. Known as the 'Little Switzerland of America,' Joseph is a hub for vibrant festivals year-round, including the renowned Chief Joseph Days Rodeo and Oregon's Alpenfest. Vesper’s Lakeview was home to the owners of the Wallowa Lake Lodge for the past half century. It was designed by an architect in the 50s and has a unique location and relationship to the lake unlike any other nearby rentals. It is sited on multiple forested acres with its own network of private hiking trails and East Moraine access. This home hadn’t changed ownership since it was built in the 50s and is a new to market rental on the lake this year. Entertain or sunbathe on the large and private south facing deck with mountain views with foxes, deer, eagles and owls that frequent the property. Walk to the lodge, state park, marina, or tram in minutes.
This secluded property boasts a lake view, where you can enjoy the tranquility of the water while watching bald and golden eagles soar overhead. This property is one the few homes on the eastside. The eastside has longer daylight with sunset views over Wallowa Lake and Chief Joseph Mountain. Wallowa Lake Highway runs along the east lake edge between the lake and this property. The spacious interior features a cozy wood-burning fireplace, perfect for warming up after a day of skiing at the nearby Ferguson Ridge Ski Area or exploring the local wildlife. With amenities like a fully equipped kitchen, high-speed internet and a comfortable living area, you’ll feel right at home.
Step outside where you can soak in the breathtaking mountain views. Some photos shown are taken from the lake itself or from the East Moraine hiking trails that border this property. The yard is perfect for your furry friends, making this a dog-friendly retreat. Whether you're here for adventure or relaxation, this Joseph getaway is the ideal base for exploring the beauty of the Wallowa Valley.
