Nana and Papa's - Lakefront dog-friendly home in Joseph with amazing yard deck

We really enjoyed the lake house and its amenities. We enjoyed doing puzzles, cooking, playing cards, and really being together as a family. The lake house had an amazing yard, great wildlife-watching opportunities, and was comfortable and cozy when the electricity was on.

A planned power outage for maintenance (we now know the information was sent to homeowners so they could prepare) occurred, and we received no warning. As a result, we had no heat and no Wi-Fi or cell service from 10 p.m. Thursday to 11:00 a.m. the next morning. Had we been forewarned about the outage from the host, we would have been better prepared by keeping some things frozen, purchasing ice, and charging items that needed to be charged, along with keeping as much heat in as possible for the night and taking showers and so forth. Even having flashlights and candles on hand would have helped, but we had no warning. This was a major inconvenience and almost forced an early departure for those who needed to contact family and ensure insulin and other medical items stayed cold, and we were able to cook and prepare food for medical purposes as well. In addition, the dock was not in the water as advertised, and we were looking forward to fishing from the dock. We were unable to enjoy fishing as planned and it would have been nice if we were informed of this change due to the season as well.
