About this house rental
Blue Lake Cottage is ideal for multiple families. It's a charming lakefront, cabin retreat with decks overlooking Big Redfish Lake. This 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom vacation rental home sleeps 12 and is located in Blue Mountain Beach near 30A. It's unique in that it has two separate living quarters that can accommodate multiple families. Downstairs is a studio cottage with a queen bed and a bunk room with a twin over twin for two kids. The kitchen is well stocked and features a 2-in-1 Keurig and regular coffee maker. There is also a full bathroom with walk in shower. This cottage even comes with 4 complimentary bikes with helmets so you can explore 30A easily in style!
The top cottage has two floors. The main level of the top cottage has queen room, one full bathroom, a living area with a queen size sleeper sofa, kitchen/dining and washer and dryer. The second floor of the top cottage is where the other two bedrooms are one with a queen bed and one with a full and a full bathroom are located. Relax and soak up some sun on the large wrap-around deck which looks out over Redfish Lake. It is a great place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee. The grill is perfect for family BBQ's around the lake!
This home is in the middle of everything in Blue Mountain Beach and 30A. The beach is within a 3 minute walk, just a block away. Old Blue Mountain beach has deeded beach access, where you can set up chairs and your umbrella. When you get tired of the turquoise water and the sugar white sand, take a walk to Big Daddy's Bike Shop, Blue Mountain Creamery, For the Health of It Grocery, (smoothies and massages available ), La Loba Bakery, and an Irish Pub.
This home gives you easy access to the 18.6 mile Timpoochee Trail, which is a paved, off-road exercise trail spanning 30A.

This is the 2nd year we stayed at 30A Blue Lake Cottage on our annual family beach trip. We love the lake, the location (quieter side of 30A), and the bikes!

We needed extra bedrooms for group staying at a nearby house. This met our needs. It is walkable to the beach and to other places in Blue Mountain. Blue Mountain is a nice quiet neighborhood. The management company was always responsive.

The kitchen was well stocked, the location on the water was excellent, really appreciated the complementary bicycles, and the management company was very quick to respond to all our needs and suggestions. Also loved the many decks and acesses.

Watch out for extra fees if you rent this property. Management will tack on an extremely excessive amount for cleaning and reservation fees. We were disappointed in the state of the outdoor area. Parts of the decking had been replaced and the old boards were left laying outside. The “beach toys” that are available were dirty and useless. The outdoor lighting also did not work. We were unhappy that we weren’t sent a valid door code at check-in and were then locked out one day before our check-out. That being said, the house is big and is in a great location. There is a decent paddleboard for your use which was a lot of fun. Most of the houses in the area have docks - this one does not
