About this house rental
Our 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathrooms townhome (Unit 67) is located directly across from Purgatory Resort and is a perfect basecamp for your vacation no matter the season. The gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances includes a bar with seating and opens to the main living space and dining area. Enjoy great views of the ski slopes at Purgatory from either deck.
The townhome home is part of the resort so you have access to free on-demand shuttle service to Purgatory Ski Resort but since it is across the highway you have the privacy and additional space a townhome affords (it’s part of a duplex). At 8,900 feet of elevation, the home is a gateway to an amazing winter playground and also serves as the perfect summer retreat, with a million acres of national forest land at your doorstep offering all your favorite mountain activities. It’s only a 2 minute walk to Twilight Lake for fishing and paddle boarding and as well as Purgatory Flats Trailhead, one of the most scenic hikes in the San Juan Mountains. Horseback riding, jeep trails, an alpine slide, epic mountain biking and the Purgatory Inferno Mountain Coaster are all less than 5 minutes from the home.

Master Bedroom - King with Ensuite Bath (2nd Floor)
2nd - Queen and Twin with TV (2nd Floor)
3rd - Trundle Bed (2 Twins) (2nd floor)
This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay).
For an optional 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. When booking, just advise if you would like the extra 4% resort fee added.
Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Even better in person than in its pictures! Very comfortable attractive home with balconies on both floors. Quiet neighborhood. Clean & well kept, everything worked. Well stocked with dishes & cookware. We enjoyed walking our dogs around the lake. Halfway in between Durango & Silverton, there was a lot to do in both places. We'd be happy to stay here again!

Wonderful well-appointed and set-up condo. Love that it is the 2nd street up from the highway (more quiet, although there is construction across Tourmaline). Little amenity kits were nice/thouhtful.
Close to hikes (Purgatory Creek is two blocks down, and managed running path around the pond. Lot's of wildlife viewing in July - muskrats, ducks and ducklings, snakes, horned-lizards, many bird species, elk, deer, and bear. Striking distance to Molas Pass & lakes, and to Silverton.
Much to do at Purgatory if you want a more "urban" experience.
Great place to stay.

Overall the condo is very nice and the kitchen came well stocked. However when we got there the furnace was off I had to figure out or we would have froze the 1st night. The main fireplace also didn’t stay on so I kept having to restart the pilot light, sometimes 3 or 4 times just to get it to stay on. The wireless network didn’t exist either so we had to call the cable guy who told us it had reverted back to its original settings due to a power outage. Like I said, a little too much work for me on vacation. Also make sure you ask about paying the fee to use the amenities at Purg because nobody ever told me that was an option. We would’ve used the hot tub and gym had we known we could’ve paid for that option.
