"The DOME" is a unique home with two master suites and a kid's room with a bunk bed. Two additional adult size cots stored in entrance closet for groups looking to spread out. Ample parking for trailers along with over two hundred feet of floating dock at the lake end of a private channel, this home is begging to host families for a vacation of fishing, kayaking, and watersports. Last summer trip before the kids went back to school. We’ve never been to Lakeport or to Clear Lake. This property was just amazing. Steeped with history and family legacy. My wife and I were fascinated with the history of the property. Add to that the phenomenal location right on the water and the incredible design of the home, and suffice it to say the trip was just everything we hoped for. Last but certainly not least, the property manager was responsive, like, replied within 3-5 minutes to any questions we had. This is a 5 out of 5 stay if I’ve ever had one. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great view, direct access to the lake, interesting history and architecture, and great service.

Now that we have found this place, this will be the only place that we will rent when we visit Clearlake, which we typically do yearly. When I say it has everything you need this is an understatement. It’s quirky but in the best way possible it’s really like staying inside a work of art. The location could not be better. You have the calmness of the lake And the view is unbeatable. All of the water sports you could ask for all the pots and pans you could possibly need honestly it has everything I love this place.

Our family tries to make an annual trip to the lake and enjoy renting a different VRBO each time . This was one of the most comfortable and best located properties we have experienced. Thanks to the hosts for maintaining a lovely property. We would surely recommend the location to anyone asking .

This is our second stay here and that says a lot. The house is very unique. The location and view are wonderful. Having access to kayaks and the paddle boat is a huge draw for this rental. The bird/wildlife exposure is spectacular. We had a few requests upon arrival and the host was very responsive and this made a big difference. Thank you PJ.

We booked this place last minute Labor day weekend. I'm surprised a place like this was still available. My two boys fished all weekend from the docks. They loved it. Caught plenty of fish. Host communication was great. Easy check in and out. We would absolutely stay here again!

This place was amazing !!!! Perfect location and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need and the house was SO CLEAN!!! The sunsets were beautiful . There were games to play and all the beds were super comfortable. Everything was very true to the listing and we are so happy we were able to experience a weekend at the dome!!

Nice property. The house has everything you could need. Clear Lake itself is anything but clear for swimming with kids, but we had a lot of fun tubing off the dock. The owners added a ladder on the dock while we were there and that made it much easier to get in and out. There is no beach/walk in access here but the state park nearby is nice.

We had the opportunity to stay at this amazing house with my family and friends for our 4th annual fishing trip. The house had everything we needed to accommodate 5 adults and 3 kids. The location probably cannot get any better than that. It’s located right next to the opening of main lake access. Fish is jumping everywhere. We brought 4 bass boats and the house had parking for our truck and trailers as well as a big boat dock to fit all the boats too. Highly recommended and we hope to stay again next year for our 5th annual trip. Launch ramp was conveniently located minutes away.

We found this property last year and it has been the best on the lake so far..and that dates back 8 years of rentals for serious bass anglers. 10 out of 10 for location, owner response, and the property itself. My only regret is talking it up so that future reservations are restricted because of high volume.

Our second stay at The Dome and we are already looking forward to our next stay. The home is beautiful and has all the comforts you need, to makes you feel right at home. Communication with the hosts is definitely Five Star Rated! We met and visited with several neighbors. They were all so kind. The amount of wildlife was incredible this trip. Natures T.V. Was Awesome! Thank You for Another Awesome Stay. Oh, we not only didn’t want to come home, but our little dog was so disappointed for several days after we did.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the dome. What a fun and fantastic place to stay. We fished for hours and just relaxed and soaked up all of natures beauty for three days. Dark, dirty, buggy, hot. Started with being stung by a nest of wasps in a window opening. Ants ate our chocolate cake. Slipped on goose poop on the dock. Holes in screen dirty furnishings shower floor was filthy. Outside was unusable trees have taken over. Table was covered in grease. Swing rope in the middle of the view from main room. Refrigerator did not work .

We really enjoyed our time here. Don’t overpack. They have most of what you need there. The hosts were very responsive to questions and there were no issues. The place is clean, well maintained, and undoubtedly loved. When you read the history of the place, you can’t help but adore and be amazed at every personal touch. The place has a very calm, tranquil artsy feel. We were able to dock our boat, fish, and relax the whole time. This is a definite gem.

The kids loved the stay here and ran from room to room looking at all the cool attributes of each. The house was so comfortable and right at the water inlet. Our fishing guide even picked us up from the dock! We will stay here when we come.back and highly recommend the property!

Wonderful stay

Wonderful stay

This is a very uniquely built property on a beautiful piece of land. The interior was spotless, and the outside accommodations for relaxing were plentiful. Initially, we were nervous driving up because we had heard it was going to be over 100° in Lakeport—and it was—but the front lawn and deck facing the lake were covered, by trees and roofing respectively. That allowed for a morning breeze to filter through for several hours in the morning to mid-afternoon to keep us comfortable. Also, the air conditioning inside worked extremely well. The lake had receded, as is typical for most Northern California lakes right now, so it did not at this time hug the property. Still, we had a beautiful view of the lake in the near distance, and every day we saw blue herons and osprey and raptors and deer within the immediately surrounding remnant inlets. The kitchen is well equipped, and there are two dining areas. There is ample room for parking on the property. The living room is well appointed and, from the chairs and sofa, you have a beautiful view of the lake through a large picture window. We definitely plan on returning.

The property was amazing! Family that came over on Fathers Day all had wonderful compliments of the home and even inquired about renting it again. The house was well equipped with everything needed and then some. The house is cozy and there was more then enough outdoor seating for a gathering. A few ventured out on kayaks provided with the house. Some spent time time bird watching and just watching the sun set. Paul was quick to respond when we needed some assistance with the cable TV. Overall it was a wonderful weekend and my dad was happy!

We could not have asked for a better rental experience. The Dome is a very well kept and unique home that had everything anyone would need during a visit. The Racine family has done an amazing job maintaining the property. The views from the living room are exceptional and worth the trip alone. Highly recommend a visit.

We had a great Memorial Day weekend at the Dome. The house was fully stocked with everything we could need. The view from the living room was amazing. You can sit and watch all the birds from the couch. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We fit two families no problem.
