About this house rental
Private, secluded family cabin on the shores of beautiful Lake Sylvia. House sits on 4 acres and has 400 feet of lake shore. The cabin has an open concept design and beautiful views of the lake. There is a large screened in porch that faces the lake and it is wonderful to sit out at night and not have to bother with the bugs as you listen to the loons. In the great room there is a large stone two-sided gas fireplace that warms any chilly night. The deck spans the length of the house and looks out onto Lake Sylvia, perfect to grill up your favorite meal on the large Weber gas grill. There is plenty of room for family and friends with 4 large bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The master bedroom is located on the main level and has access to the deck and screen porch. The other three bedrooms are located on the 2nd level along with a full sized bathroom. The loft area provides great views of the lake, has a tv (with fire stick) and seating area. The main floor has a large family room (fireplace, 2 couches, tv with firestick), dining room (table that seats 8 comfortably, fireplace), kitchen (island with seating for 3, refrigerator, electric stove/oven, double sink, dishwasher, microwave, drip coffee pot, toaster, pots/pans, electric skillets, and plenty of dishes & utensils), high chair, laundry room (sink, washer & dryer), bathroom (shower, toilet & sink) and access to the attached 2 car garage.
The house sits above the lake. There is a solid, wooden staircase down to the lake with approximately 30 steps. At the bottom is a stone patio with fire pit and room for seating. There is 40 foot dock with plenty of room to tie up your boat(s). This lake is known for its great fishing (all seasons) -walleye, panfish, northern, bass.
The town of Annandale is 5 miles away. They have a large grocery store, gas stations, coffee shop, bowling alley, restaurants & cute boutique stores. Numerous golf courses within 15 minutes of property. Downhill skiing & snowboarding (Powder Ridge) within 15 minutes of property.

My in-laws and I loved this property! It was clean, spacious, comfortable, well-stocked (kitchen supplies, games, etc.), and in a beautiful location on a gorgeous clear lake. Would highly recommend the this spot to anyone considering. We'll definitely be back!

Thank you so much for opening up your beautiful home to our family! We had such a wonderful time and could not have asked for a more comfortable and spacious spot to enjoy the long MEA weekend. We were a large group spanning all ages and while we didn't leave the property, we did enjoy the amazing views of the lake, the screened-in porch, agate hunting on the gravel road and games around the fireplace! The beds were all extremely comfortable and the house was clean and well appointed! The owners, Trisha and Matt, were also very responsive, and an absolute pleasure to work with! We certainly look forward to returning to your home in the future and would highly recommend it to others looking for a relaxing escape on beautiful Lake Sylvia!
