The house overlooks the estuary, not the beach. I would recommend ear plugs for sleeping due to the proximity to the very busy and noisy main road. Other than that, a great central location very close walking distance to the main beach in Tamarindo. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay there again.

A very nice property, good beach access, excellent communication from the manager. We met the owner and he was also very nice. We had a tiny issue and they had a person there to fix it within minutes.

Our family stayed at La Choza del Estero for one week. We couldn't have picked a better location for our vacation. We woke up to a large family of charmingly quiet howler monkeys each morning. The beach and the estuary were our backyard. The property lends itself to outdoor living. It includes an outdoor shower, hammocks, firepits, and and an outdoor dining area. The jungle themed bedrooms were well appointed with a remodeled bathroom in each of them. Air conditioning and wifi worked well. The owner and his family live next door so if we sought advice on what to do they were right there. If there is any criticism it would be the tiny kitchen and indoor dining area. It didn't affect us much but if weather were a factor and someone wanted to eat inside it would not be very comfortable.
The property manager's husband, Douglas provided both transportation to and from the airport along with a private beach tour. His local knowledge of Costa Rica was priceless. The pride for his country was evident. We highly recommend using him.
We definitely want to come back.
