About this house rental
In the heart of the Entre-deux-mers, the Domaine de Lorette is located in the countryside in a preserved natural setting a few km from the small village of Saint Michel de Lapujade, an ideal location to discover the vineyards and the bastides, but also St Emilion, its medieval village and its castles, Bordeaux, city of art and history. Our cottage in a building of character with an area of about 450 m² has been completely renovated to offer you the best comfort for your stay with friends and family. You will have an outdoor area with a 13 x 7 swimming pool (integrated spa with 4 jets, wading pool, diving board) opening onto a large covered terrace with fully equipped summer kitchen (American fridge, dishwasher, oven, barbecue, plancha, wood oven to make good pizzas...). The cottage consists of a large living room with dining room, kitchen, laundry room, children's area, 5 bedrooms with 160 x 200 beds, a dormitory with 5 beds 90x200, 4 bathrooms, one of which is on the first floor with bathtub. Cottage equipped with geothermal heating, two fireplaces and reversible air conditioning in the dormitory only.
The Entre deux mers is a hilly area that offers beautiful landscapes, countryside, vineyards and woods.
The property is located 45 minutes from Bordeaux, 1h30 from Toulouse.
1 hour from Bergerac and Mérignac airports.
1h30 from Arcachon (magnificent Atlantic Ocean beach),
3 hours from Paris by train.

Incredible one-month stay. Impeccably clean, beautiful bedrooms with comfy beds, white linen and black-out shutters, fantastic indoor & outdoor spaces, tasteful furniture and wonderful gardens. Our host Sophie could not have done more for us. Whether it was finding us a professional Chef for 4 exquisite meals, making transport arrangements when we were in a pinch, or helping us recover lost sunglasses in St Emilion, she was super professional, charming and respectful. She and her place helped me make a dream come true.

Beautiful house with amazing pool, spotlessly clean, and incredibly well equipped. Sophie was responsive and helpful. Outdoor kitchen provided much needed shade!

Our group (7 adults, 7 kids and one teenager) had an absolutely wonderful two week stay in September 2023. The gite was even better than as shown in the pictures (if that's even possible) and quickly became our oasis for the trip. The large outdoor living space and fireplace were absolutely perfect in the mid-September weather, and the gite had everything needed for a great stay (and some wonderfully creative meals using produce from the many nearby local markets).
Sophie, our host was absolutely lovely, easy to deal with and full of knowledge about the area.
The nearby village of Mongauzy was a great early morning stop for breakfast pastries and our daily bread, or for a late afternoon aperitif at the local resto-bar. The gite was well located as a base to explore the beautiful bastide towns and castles in the area, including the town of La Reole (and its beautiful Saturday market) and to take longer day trips to Bordeaux & the wine country, the Dordogne, and beyond.
Overall, a thoroughly excellent experience, that we wholeheartedly recommend, and a truly memorable vacation.

We had an amazing holiday! The house is brilliant- spacious with all the facilities needed for our family. The kitchens- both inside and outside are very well equipped with high quality fittings. We used the BBQ and pizza oven several times! The swimming pool was perfect for our children- my grandkids loved it!
The spaces in the house both indoors and outside were great for the family to get together and chill out.
We all had a relaxing time- walking through the fields of vines, visiting the local towns and villages and meeting the locals. The neighbours were lovely and offered us fresh vegetables from their garden.
All in all a great holiday and Sophie is a caring and thoughtful hostess- thank you
