About this house rental
Stay in an elegant bourgeois house classified 3 stars by Atout France, in the heart of nature, in the heart of the Loire castles and the vineyards of Chinon. Enjoy a completely private swimming pool, a large garden without vis-à-vis, and a peaceful setting with panoramic views of the countryside.
It benefits from its own private entrance, its enclosed garden of 500 m² with swimming pool 4.5 x 9m unheated (reserved only for the cottage and not overlooked) It is unheated.
The cottage is perfect for children who already know how to swim. Although the pool has an alarm to standards, it does not have a safety barrier. Its smallest depth is 1m20 and the deepest 2m. It does not have a beach for small children.
A large garden of one hectare surrounds the property and is also accessible, but shared.
The whole is surrounded by fields in a hilly landscape and far from any neighbours. Ideal for cutting yourself off from the world.
The 130 m² house is on one level, with dressed stone wall and exposed beams.
It has a large entrance hallway, 3 bedrooms with 2 90x200 beds that can be joined, a kitchen, a living room and a bathroom (a large shower and two sinks) with separate toilets.
The cottage has its own independent access with private outdoor parking.
At guests' disposal: a collection of board games, a library of books about the region, novels, comics and children's books, a piano, a basketball hoop, a football goal, buoys for the swimming pool, garden furniture, barbecue and 4 bicycles (to be booked in advance).
All basic services are available 8 km away in the town of Chinon or Richelieu: large supermarkets, pharmacy, restaurants, bars, cinema, ...
Living on site (independent manor), I am available to advise you in your discoveries while guaranteeing you total autonomy. The cottage, its garden and its swimming pool are exclusively reserved for you.
Note to travellers:
Our pets live on the estate but never have access to the gîte areas, which are fully enclosed and independent.
We take care of the entire end-of-stay cleaning at no extra cost.
Cleaning included: A simple courtesy tidying up on your part (dishes and bins) helps us greatly in the preparation of the gîte and allows us to maintain this free accommodation for all our travellers. Thank you for your understanding!
Linen and comfort
Night side: For a warm welcome, sheets are provided and your beds are already made when you arrive.
Bath: In order to give you the choice and to lighten your luggage, we offer a "Complete Linen Kit" (towel + large pool towel) for 5 € per person for the whole stay. Remember to ask us when you book so that we can prepare everything before your arrival!

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at the property. The photos don’t really show the character of the property to full advantage. It is also more spacious than it appears in the photos. Unfortunately we had some car problems during our holiday and Angelique and her son went out of their way to help us. Would definitely recommend this property to others.

We had a wonderful stay in this peaceful location. The house is lovely and much bigger than it looks in the pictures. Our children spent a lot of time in the pool which was great. Unfortunately we weren’t very lucky with the weather but the house is well equipped with games for all eventualities. Thanks Angelique!

Beautiful gite with everything we needed for our stay. Very comfortable beds meant we all slept well. Pool and garden were great
It’s quite remote so a car is essential but it’s so quiet. Chinon is about 15 minutes away by car and has supermarkets etc.
Angelique was a lovely host, she was available if we had any questions and gave us good advice about markets and wind tasting.
We had a great time and would happily return.

We throughly enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful, and the south facing garden with pool is completely private. A car is essential, and bike hire recommended. Lovely old house and welcoming host. A very special family holiday.
