This spacious and quiet vacation home, with 90 m² of living space spread over two floors, is located in the heart of the romantic mountain village of Kritsa at 287 m above sea level, near the important town of Agios Nikolaos on the northern coast of eastern Crete. Two bright bedrooms with air conditioning can accommodate 4 people (each with a double bed measuring 140x200 cm). One bedroom can optionally accommodate an additional travel crib. All bedrooms have lockable doors. In the cozy living room, a sofa bed (140x200 cm) provides additional sleeping space for 2 people. The kitchen is fully equipped.
Bright kitchen and large bathroom
The fully equipped kitchen includes a large refrigerator with freezer, an electric stove with oven, a coffee maker, a toaster, a microwave, and a kettle. The kitchenware is set up for 10 people. The bathroom—which is large by Crete standards and very bright thanks to the window—features a shower stall and a washing machine and is located on the upper floor. An additional guest restroom is located on the first floor.
Roof terraces with magnificent panoramic views
You can start and end your day on one of the two stunning roof terraces, which offer a breathtaking view of the village with an impressive vista of the sea and the rocky landscape. The illuminated roof terraces are on two levels and are connected by an outdoor staircase. On the upper rooftop terrace, a 3m x 4m traditional Cretan pergola provides shade.

Convenient travel
The well-developed and easy-to-drive New Road—comparable to a high-quality German federal highway—connects Kritsa with the international airport in Heraklion (Iraklio). Numerous car rental companies have offices in the arrivals terminal. By rental car, this route along the Mediterranean Sea and through impressive rocky gorges takes about 50–60 minutes. Parking for cars is available near the house. You will receive directions and information about key pickup via email after your booking.

The vacation home is ideal for families with children and couples. Board games, card games, and a selection of books on the island’s history and culture enhance your stay. We provide a cooler and ice packs for your excursions. The rental price includes final cleaning, a linen package, Wi-Fi, electricity and water charges, and use of the air conditioning. The house is non-smoking, but smoking is permitted on the two sun terraces.

Numerous taverns serving delicious Mediterranean food and shops for daily necessities, souvenirs, and arts and crafts are within walking distance of the house. On the shopping street, you can buy olive oils, textiles, leather shoes, leather belts, natural soaps, ceramics, and much more. Another shopping option—a branch of the discount supermarket Lidl—is located on the way to Agios, about a 5-minute drive away. An ATM is located on the village’s main street, about 150 meters from the house.
Kritsá—a diverse village
Kritsa is famous for its narrow, picturesque, and winding alleys and authentic village houses. The village is just waiting to be discovered during evening strolls through its maze of alleys. Typical Greek houses and churches, along with majestic old olive trees, create a special atmosphere and provide the backdrop for wonderful vacation memories.
Beach Fun by the Sea
Kritsa and its surroundings are rich in sights and attractions. Within a 10-minute drive, there are two official beaches (Almyros and Ammoudara). There, beachgoers will find lounge chairs, umbrellas, jet skis, and other water activities.
