The gorgeous "Frohsinn" vacation home is located in the heart of Feldberg-Altglashütten at an elevation of just under 1,000 meters in the southern Black Forest. It was built in 1928 in the traditional Black Forest architectural style as a small guesthouse. Since its major renovation in 2015, it has been available to guests from near and far as a private vacation home for exclusive use.
The fantastic vacation home “Frohsinn” is located in the heart of Feldberg-Altglashütten at an altitude of nearly 1,000 meters in the southern Black Forest. It was built in 1928 in the traditional Black Forest architectural style as a small guesthouse. Since its extensive renovation in 2015, it has been available to guests from near and far as a unique vacation home for exclusive use.
The Upper Black Forest Card is included with your stay at Ferienhaus Frohsinn and allows you to enjoy free or discounted access to swimming pools, mountain railways, lake tours, and many other attractions!
At Haus Frohsinn, you’ll find 120 m² of space featuring modern designer furniture and vintage-style antique pieces that complement each other harmoniously. The vacation home can accommodate up to six people in three bedrooms. An extra bed is available for the 7th person, and one travel crib (without an additional mattress) is available for each of two small children.
The heart of the vacation home is the open living area, featuring a very well-equipped kitchen with a cooking island, a sofa arrangement, and a dining area in the bay window overlooking the valley.
The large sun terrace with a lawn on the south side is perfect for social gatherings, barbecues, and relaxing. The wellness facilities (sauna, swimming pool, massages, etc.) at Hotel Schledorn (200 meters away) are available to our guests at the hotel’s standard rates.
This dream vacation home is located in the heart of the Southern Black Forest Nature Park and is the ideal starting point for hiking or mountain biking excursions. You can easily reach the world-famous Titisee or the university town of Freiburg with its Gothic cathedral by train—the Altglashütten-Falkau train station is within walking distance (400 meters).
The nearby Windgfällweiher (1,200 m) with its swimming beach offers a wonderful way to cool off in the summer. All kinds of water sports are available at Schluchsee.
Winter sports enthusiasts will find everything they’re looking for on vacation at Haus Frohsinn. Just 700 meters away is the Schwarzenbachlift, featuring three slopes of varying difficulty levels. Sledding hills and cross-country ski trails are located in the immediate vicinity. The Feldberg ski lift network can be reached in just a few minutes by ski bus or car. The Feldberg ski area offers something for every winter sports enthusiast and nature lover—including families, children, and beginners. The perfectly groomed slopes guarantee snow from December through March.
