It is superbly situated, being on the edge of both the Peak District National Park and the Staffordshire Moorlands and provides many opportunities for walking and cycling. If you are a fan of water sports then you must take advantage of the properties close proximity to Carsington Water – also great for a steady 8 mile walk or cycle all the way around. There are many other trails and walks within easy reach of the property, including the Centenary Way. If you are a thrill seeker then this property is located a short 25 minute drive to Alton Towers theme park which makes for a great day out for all. The village of Brailsford has a shop/post-office, cafés, pub and a golf club.

Second time staying here. It's a great location for what we needed, close to the Peak District, Alton Towers, lots of other attractions. The bungalow is very well equipped and the instructions are clear making it easy to use the appliances. The only criticism is the shower head in the ensuite probably needs descaling/cleaning and we could have done with a couple more hand towels, so there was one each. Would recommend and stay again.
