About this cabin rental

Everything in and around Saltmarsh Hut feels peaceful and surrounded by nature. This dog-friendly accommodation features underfloor heating, a king-size bed with Egyptian cotton bedding, Wi-Fi and an en-suite shower room. Nestled in Stiffkey, near Wells-next-the-Sea, it offers uninterrupted views over the North Norfolk Coast. For an additional charge, you can unwind in the wood-fired hot tub under the stars.

Saltmarsh Hut is set in a breathtaking location at the end of a open field, offering panoramic views over the marshes and the sea in Stiffkey, North Norfolk. With an open-plan living space and en-suite shower room, featuring a king-size bed with a duck feather duvet and Egyptian cotton linen, along with a wall-mounted television just above.

The small kitchenette includes a sink, double electric hob and a mini fridge, along with all the crockery, pots, pans and utensils you may need. The underfloor heating and the electric stove adds cosiness on chillier evenings! The en-suite shower room includes a walk-in shower, wash basin and WC.

Outside the hut, there is a lawned area surrounded by a wire fence. A table and chairs are provided for al fresco dining, along with a firepit/barbecue. As part of the experience, there is a wood-fired hot tub available for an additional charge, which is heated by guests, offering the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the North Norfolk Coast. Outdoor lighting is kept to a minimum so the night sky can be fully appreciated. Feel free to bring a torch for additional light.

There is direct access to Stiffkey Salt marshes and the coastal path from Saltmarsh Hut. To make the most of your stay, we recommend staying at least two nights, giving you time to explore the popular coastal villages of Brancaster, Wells-next-the-Sea, Holkham, and Cromer.

Nearby there is The Red Lion, and a little village shop which is known for its barista style coffees and croissants. The village is on the coastal path meaning you are able to walk for as little or as long as you like, with lovely views all the way along.

Golfing is available at Old Hunstanton Golf Club.
Sailing is available in the local village of Wells-next-the-Sea

Additional Information:
A wood-fired hot tub is available for an additional charge of £75 per stay. Due to the remote location of the hut, the wood-fired hot tub cannot be heated for arrival. This may take between 2 and 4 hours to reach temperature, depending on the weather conditions.

A starter pack of logs, kindling and firelighters is supplied for the hot tub, with more available to purchase from the village shop.

The hut is located in a rural location surrounded by open fields. The owner occasionally has access to the nearby fields.

Two well behaved dogs are welcome for a small additional charge. There is a wired fence surrounding the hut, but it is advised that dogs are kept on the lead, as very small dogs may be able to pass through. Please note that dogs must be kept off the furniture.

Due to the remoteness of Saltmarsh Hut, the hot water in the shower lasts for a couple of minutes at a time.

Parking is by the hut and accessed by a track through a meadow. Please note it is an uneven track.

Sorry, this hut is not suitable for children under the age of two years.

If you’re looking for a place to relax, unwind and leave the world behind then look no further. This charming little property has everything you need. The weather wasn’t on our side but that didn’t matter. We were perfectly happy hunkered down in the pretty little hut, whiling away the hours. The facilities are great for what it is, and we found the bed particularly comfortable which was a bonus! All in all a fabulous place.

What a little slice of heaven. A perfect short break in a beautiful part of the country. Views from the hot tub were magical - we were treated to one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen! Watched hares running in the field from the comfort of the bed in the morning and listened to lapwings in the evening as we heated up the hot tub and sipped on the complementary Prosecco. Direct access to the coastal path and walking along the marshes. Clear and easy to follow instructions on how to find the secluded, private and delightfully kitted out cosy little hut. Just perfect. Thank you.

Location was perfect. Lay out of the hut was brilliant. Was nice to have a Indoor and outside table and sun loungers. Was a bit tricky to find, pics where included in the check in guide but they are in the dark and poor quality and only give directions to those coming from the other direction. So we only found it once we had drove past and realised we where in wells next to sea prompting us to turn around, then we where coming from the direction they had catered for in their instructions. We stayed at the end of August so I'm assuming its been a busy summer and the owners haven't had time to fix the following: Toilet roll holder Toilet flusher -worked but was broken BBQ utensils Front window- would only shut if someone pushed it from the outside The main door is a stable style- was lovely but the bolt for the bottom half was broken so difficult to use. Door hinge was loose- my husband fixed this one for you. The steps to get into the hot tub- just seem to have seen better days have to be careful using them. There was an information folder that was really handy but again has seen better days. But it served its purpose. For the price of the hut i had expected these little things to be attended to. I understand an additional cost for the hottub as it needs to be re filled and logs provided but thought the price was a bit steep of £75. Overall we had a great time and these little things didn't spoil the trip but they need attending to. Communication with the owner- i text to say our arrival time but didn't hear back again no issue but there was no communication from the owner hence my 2 star review. This trip was our mini moon and i had specified this on the booking. Was happy to pay for any extra treats. There was a bottle of wine for us in the fridge but unsure if that was special for us or if they do this for every visitor, either way it was a lovely gesture. I honestly would recommend the hut to a friend but also If they asked if it was worth the money i would unfortunately say no based on our stay. So overall its lovely place to stay with great potential if its given a little TLC and maybe the hot tup price was brought down to a more realistic price for what it actually costs to run.
