About this house rental
LOCATION - 7 blocks south of Main Street
HOSTS - Home to yourselves , but there are other guesthouses to rent on the property
SLEEPS - Up to 4 people; 1 king bedroom & 1 queen bedroom
BATH - 1 bath; large spa tub and separate walk-in shower
KITCHEN - Well-equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, stove/oven, and Keurig coffeemaker
AMENITIES - Smart TV (guest's need to bring their own login information for apps), WiFi, outdoor seating area
CHILDREN - YES

SMOKING - OUTSIDE ONLY
DOGS- YES (Up to 2 dogs that are each less than 30 lbs)
The house does accept up to two dogs but we ask that each is 30 lbs or less. In addition, there is an additional pet fee of $22/pet/night (before tax). Furthermore, we ask that you do not allow the dogs on the beds or furniture, property dispose of their waste, and do not allow them on the furniture or beds. If these rules are not followed, there will be an additional $200 charge added to your reservation.

- Observe the City of Fredericksburg Quiet Hours (10pm to 7am in residential zones). No music of any kind after 10 pm.
- The City of Fredericksburg is a Dark Sky Community with outdoor lighting restrictions. All outdoor lighting is encouraged to be turned off when no one is present to use the light.
- Observe the designated on-site and off-site parking spaces.
- Place all trash in designated containers.

We needed handicap access and Althea was a nice place to stay. The walk in shower and large rooms provided access. I loved the supplies provided from bathroom to cooking, it made it a nice home away from home. We did not know the house was on a major road thru town but we closed doors and rarely heard the traffic at night. Everything was clean.
The water for the coffee needed a new filter.
It would be helpful to add a horizontal bar in the shower on the side opposite the area to walk in and a bar at the side of the toilet. You would not be able to claim ADA assessable due to the door thresholds, but we were able to get over the humps.
When we come again, we will definitely see if Althea is available.

This house was fantastic and perfect for our needs! My mom and I were in town for a bachelorette party, but stayed separately from the group. The location is fantastic. It's possible to walk to Main St from the house; however, we chose to drive. It's very easy driving distance to the wineries off of 290. The house itself is so well-maintained and the decor is adorable! It has a really nice soaking tub and open shower. The retro appliances and kitchen is awesome! So fun! We appreciated the snacks they provided at check in too. It's shockingly quiet considering it's off the main road. I was actually in the front bedroom and slept great! Beds are extremely comfortable. The host communicated clearly with check in and check out instructions through VRBO's messaging. There's also a book with check in/out instructions and recommended restaurants/wineries. We would love to stay here again! Thank you so much!

No receptacles worked in the tv room except tv. The lamp bulb was burned out. There needs to be a small lamp in entry hall for evening arrival. The bathrobes in bathroom should have been white and they looked not clean and including white kitchen towel that wasn’t white anymore. On street so property was noisey, it was accommodating for us as we didn’t spend much time there.
