This freshly renovated 1,032 sq ft, Key West-style single-family home was originally built in 1940, and still glows with all the charm of a quintessential “old Florida” beach cottage. Yet, it’s been beautifully renovated inside and out; transformed into a sleek, stylish, contemporary seaside paradise.
Located in the Cortez neighborhood at the South end of Bradenton Beach, this dream home is just twenty steps from the white sand beach. It’s perfect for families, couples, snowbirds, boaters, beach lovers, and small groups of friends. Nestled beside a row of graceful pines, and bordered by beautiful tropical landscaping; banana trees, frangipani, coconut palms, and hibiscus, this setting is soothing and serene.
The private rooftop terrace is a highlight of this island home. Relax in a rooftop Adirondack chair, and sip your morning coffee or freshly squeezed citrus juice as the sun rises over the bay and palm fronds dance in the breeze. Ocean-view sunsets are also dreamy! Unlimited panoramic vistas stretch every direction.

The living area has soothing, warm-neutral walls just the color of sun-warmed beach sand. Luxury laminate flooring throughout the home is the hue of weathered oak. A tray ceiling with recessed lighting adds elegance to the living room. A Hamptons-blue sofa and loveseat are embellished with tasteful coastal-themed throw pillows featuring prints of coral and starfish.
This tasteful living room also has an upholstered coral-print armchair, a beachy area rug, and modern, aqua-blue rocking chairs, all nicely arranged around a wall-mounted SmartTV. Cozy up here to stream your favorite movies or shows, after a long day of water sports or sightseeing.

The open-design kitchen/dining area makes for easy, convenient cooking, dining, and entertaining. The chef’s kitchen has stainless steel appliances including a French Door fridge/freezer combo with ice maker, electric range, oven, dishwasher, and microwave.
Stylish, white cabinets and kitchen island are enhanced with beautiful light-hued granite countertops with swirling veins of white, gray, and beige reminiscent of ocean waves in motion. The granite breakfast bar offers stool seating for four, below glass pendant chandeliers that resemble champagne flutes. Bridge Street Pier, located on the southern end of the island in Bradenton Beach, honors the past while still embracing the future with its ‘Old Florida’ charm mixed with new restaurants, shops, galleries, and more.

Loggerhead turtles are a protected species and we have the Turtle Watch - a group of wonderful folks who search the beaches for nests and protect those nests until the eggs hatch (it is illegal for anyone to tamper with the nests). Manatees are also protected here in Florida - they are commonly seen in the summer when they leave their winter warm waters and migrate south.

We have stayed at many properties through VRBO over the years, hands down this was our absolute favorite. The house was everything we hoped it could be and more. The views, the location to the beach (and the beach itself, including amazing views of wildlife in the water) shopping, food, everything was located close by while still being able to enjoy the serenity and peace of the waves from the porch and beautiful lookout seating on the roof. It was easy and straightforward on getting into the place with no hiccups besides the love bugs. Turns out it was their mating season?? Learned something new:)

Location and view were amazing. Beds were comfortable, showers were good and air conditioner worked well. Some issues with maintenance - kitchen sink did not have hot water, spare bathroom had no pressure in sink, living room furniture was old, torn and worn. A few more supplies would be nice - cooler, kitchen items.
