About this house rental
Just a 250m walk from the property to the beach, hear the sound of the waves crashing while sitting on your secluded vine covered alfresco deck. Make Thalassa House your coastal home away from home. An easy stroll from the main Dromana supermarket, cafes and restaurants, leave your car in the driveway.

The heart of the house is the luxurious open kitchen, living and dining area. The kitchen is an entertainers delight with ample bench space and large 900mm Smeg oven and gas cooktop. Perch around the kitchen bench on one of the barstools for some lazy conversations over dinner prep, whether you are cooking up a storm or serving up some local takeaway. Open up the panoramic kitchen window and call the family in for dinner from metres away.
Enjoy your culinary creations indoors at the Tasmanian oak dining table with seating for 6 inside, or at the generous outdoor dining table on the covered timber deck to maximise the coastal resort feel. Enjoy your morning cuppa on the outdoor lounge gazing up at Arthur Seats Eagle chairlift, or sit down at twilight with a charcuterie board and your favourite glass of Mornington Peninsula wine.
Complete with a wood fire, Bose wave radio and Samsung SMART TV with Netflix/Stan capabilities, the indoor lounge is a great space to chill out with lovely views of the back yard. The master bedroom is located at the back of the property and opens up onto the alfresco deck. It has a QB, walk in wardrobe and an ensuite. The second bedroom at the front of the property has a QB and BIR. The third bedroom has a king single bed, a single bed and BIR.
There are two bathrooms - one ensuite and one main bathroom. The main bathroom has an open shower and giant mirror with designer timber vanity as well as separate claw foot bath. There is a full laundry in the property with washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.
The house is ensconced in a lush mature landscaped garden. At the rear, there is a private and secluded lawn area with a BBQ. See what goodies are growing in the raised vegie gardens and wash the sand off your feet in the outdoor shower.

the accommodation was lovely and so close to the beach and shops. The owner got back to us immediately when we had a query, she was very obliging. Would definately recommend for bigger families. Will stay there again when overseas family visit

We enjoyed our stay overall mainly due to the location of the property and general layout of the home but we did find that there were some problems which has affected our overall rating.
We wouldn’t expect these issues especially when paying top dollar.
The issues were:
1. We found that there was a mismatch between the photos and description from the listing and reality.
A) The photos were very vibrant and bright but in reality the main area was dark during the day even when we opened up all windows.
B) The Greek beach style theme wasn’t really reflected either throughout the home. We envisaged something similar to the Greek restaurant in McCrae which has fresh and vibrant colours.
C) The listing states three bathrooms but there were only two.
2. We had things that weren’t working as you’d expect, eg. Roller door for ensuite kept on jamming (needed to fix multiple times to function), toaster - half , non functioning multiple ready hang blinds, kitchen drawers
3. The bathrooms were unsafe due to the concrete floors when water sitting on top. In particular unsafe for kids seniors and physically challenged people. Not sure how council approved?
