Cozy Apartment in the Center of Porto

Everything about our stay in Porto at the Cozy Apartment was wonderful. Gabriel was an excellent communicator and sent detailed check in instructions. Many say that getting into the main door off of the street is hard, but my family and I had no trouble using the clear instructions. As Americans we are used to lights being left on in lobbies but that is not how it's done in Portugal, so if you arrive at night be sure to look for the button that turns on the lights so you can see getting up the stairs or into the elevator. Access to the metro and parking are two reasons I chose this apartment. Both were easy to access and a short walk. The apartment was clean, beautifully decorated, a great size for a family of four, and the air conditioners worked very well. Our overall stay was phenomenal and we would definitely return if we ever visit the beautiful city of Porto again.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It is quite spacious and well-decorated. Close to nearby Metro stop. A very good value for the price.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay but it didn't come without issues. We tried several times to connect by phone with Gabriel to assist in accessing the unit because the street door would not open for us. We did exactly how the instructions we given - "Press 2nd floor DRT button, then slide mobile phone button to open door from our phone. We tried about 20 times and it did not work at all. We were then accused Gabriel that we were not doing it right. We again tried to connect Gabriel by phone to speak with us. He never did call but kept sending texts by Whatsapp. Had the neighbours not let us in, we'd have to spend the night on the street. We eventually discovered on our own that we had to "SLIDE THE MOBILE APPT BUTTON FIRST, THEN PRESS 2nd FLR DRT BUTTON. We are extremely disappointed with Gabriel's responses and accusations that WE were the problem. I explained the new access instructions to Gabriel who did not even acknowledge nor apologize to us.

The apartment: 5 stars – It is absolutely lovely and in a terrific location. The art and furnishings are tasteful and charming and you will enjoy staying here.A few nitpicks: It can be a bit tricky using the app to get in at the front door. Only one of us (the main communicant with the host) was able to do so and we had to "buzz in" the others of our party who had gone for a walk.Be sure to buy yourself some Nespresso pods!
