Set back one block from the lake and enjoying an elevated position for a great view of the lake, this home away from home is ready and waiting with a cosy and welcoming ambience. Welcome to The Lake House Garden!
Quietly tucked away from the main road, The Lake House Garden has three outdoor seating areas to sit back and relax with a cuppa and a book with no sound of traffic. The large front deck has an outdoor lounge suite, while the back terrace offers an outdoor table and chairs perfect for al fresco dining on those warm summer evenings.
Indoors you'll find comfort in the beautifully decorated semi open-plan living space, complete with a TV with Freeview and a wood burning fireplace for toasty warmth on a winter stay.
The spacious and modern kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need to self-cater your stay and plenty of storage for all your holiday favourites on those longer getaways.
Three bedrooms comfortably sleep up to eight guests here at The Lake House Garden, including a great bunk room perfect for the kids to set up as their own little holiday haven. A family bathroom, plus a bonus guest toilet in the laundry complete the set up for your stay.
Enjoy your time in the lovingly kept front and back gardens listening to the birdsong of the native tui and kereru, or take the short walk two doors down to the council reserve and kick a ball around with the kids.
There's also an access road from this reserve that allows parking for boats and vehicles inside the lockable back gate at The Lake House Garden. It's just a three-minute walk, or one-minute drive, down to the safe swimming and boating beach at Mission Bay.
If you need to top up on the staples, you'll find a service station just a short drive from your home away from home, or for a coffee and cake fix you can visit Licorice Cafe a six-minute drive away in Motuoapa. For a few more options, you'll find Tūrangi a 13-minute drive away in one direction, and Taupō 30 minutes in the other.

Great quiet location, perfect for travelling to Taupo and also south to the snow. Bathroom didn’t look like it had been cleaned in a while. Owners personal items present throughout the property (eg. Clothes in bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/dining area (including mail)). Hand written ‘note’ on fridge provided minimal details regarding the property and was hard to read. Not a professional holiday home like I was expecting, more like staying at your grandparents house.
