This oceanfront home is about three blocks from Laguna Beach’s Main Beach and downtown’s Forest Avenue, with private steps to St Anne’s Beach - an excellent beach for children and adults alike to surf, swim, skimboard, stand-up paddle board, build sandcastles, and play beach games.

You can see breathtaking panoramic views of the shimmering Pacific, Catalina Island, and out-of-this-world sunsets from either of its two ocean-view decks, living area, or main bedroom.

Laguna Beach is known for its many art galleries, coves, and beaches and its small city feel. Main Beach features tide pools and a boardwalk leading to the paths and gardens of nearby Heisler Park. Aliso Beach Park is a popular surf spot, and the waters off Crystal Cove State Park are designated as an underwater park. Trails meander through coastal canyons in Laguna Coast Wilderness Park.

Microwave needs fix. No hot water in back bathroom. No internet in back bedroom. We fixed living room blinds. Smoke alarm in kitchen not working. I reported all this while we were there. Ps. Stairs to beach are funky & should be attended to. Otherwise, very nice! SN

The location on the ocean is lovely. The condition of the home was clean but in need of deferred maintenance: the windows were difficult to open, the blinds were sticky, the stairs on the outside were patched together but in the most minimal way. Beds were comfortable and sheets and towels adequate. All plumbing worked. Decks were ok. My sister rearranged and ordered shelves and outdoor storage shed. The garage can be made tidier to accommodate a vehicle better. We swept and left place better than we found it. It needs some TLC.

After many trips to Laguna, this is by far our favorite location. Not only directly on the beach but also across the street from Ralph’s and walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The house itself was nice and clean although dated. We will definitely be returning.

We loved the views, the location, and the layout of this home. However it does not appear that it has ever been updated. It is not well maintained. Many things are actually labeled “broken“. vacasa since you a text on arrival and ask you to please let them know if anything is broken… But the entire place is in a state of disrepair. it would take you your entire vacation to send them a list of all of the broken things. There are auto mechanic rugs thrown over broken tiles on the patio so you don’t see them before you feel them crunch under your feet and worry every single time that you might fall through. It’s is actually so dirty that I wore socks to walk around to protect my feet. Customer service from Vacasa was terrible. But as many other reviewers have mentioned, the location is incredible, and the views are second to none. So it’s a toss up, I guess. Haven’t decided if it would be worth going back. Maybe?? But with much lower expectations. Maybe that’s the key! We had a wonderful trip and absolutely loved the location of the home, otherwise the value proposition would require a one star review.

The house is right on the beach, couldn’t get much closer. The views are amazing. It is comfortable for 5-6 adults. The amenities are good. It is a few stairs down to the beach, but not horrible. The parking is tight, one SMALL car in the garage and a Larger SUV in parking spot. Follow the instructions to get to the door to enter. We really enjoyed staying there and would definitely stay there again. It is a great location, across the street from a Ralph’s s grocery store, a coffee shop within the block and a restaurant.

This home was clean on arrival. The ocean views are breathtaking. The kitchen had all the necessities. Perfect for 6-7 guests maximum. There were 8 of us (the maximum), so my son slept on the couch (not a pull-out bed). He was content, however since he slept to the sound of the ocean and woke to the beautiful views. The only complaint I have is the condition of the stairs. There is one that is slanted , and if you’re not careful, can easily cause someone to slide and fall. Thankfully I read the previous reviews that reported the some thing, so we all knew ahead of time that this was an issue and were extra careful.

This home has a very good location, but that is where it stops. If you are interested in cleanliness or safety, I would look elsewhere. There are really four issues here which is why my review is very poor. Safety, cleanliness, comfort, and Vacasa. The first is safety. There are a lot of stairs down to the beach which is not an issue if they were well-maintained. They are not. There are loose steps and there were screw ends jutting up in a few areas. The other (and more concerning) issue was that there were supposed to be four working smoke detectors in the home. Only one worked, two were broken, and one was missing completely (in the kitchen!). I reached out and while the issue was addressed (though they denied there was an issue at all later), this is unacceptable and makes me wonder if the fire extinguisher works. What else has been overlooked? Second is cleanliness. Air ducts were disgusting, cobwebs everywhere, and dirty dishes in the cabinets -- this is not what I expected. Sand? Sure. The state of the house was not okay. Issue three was comfort. Look, I get that this is subjective but the bed in the main bedroom was the least comfortable bed I have slept on and I did the hostel thing through Europe in college. I'll keep this one short because again, this is subjective, but it is worth mentioning that if you have a functioning back... maybe consider sleeping on a couch or on the beach or something. The last issue is Vacasa. While communication at the beginning was good, access to the house was good, and the app is good, there are some issues and disconnects between the company and (as they call them) the local team. I sent a note to them about the state of the house and all I received was a very bland apology. When I asked for a credit due to the safety issues, I was told that I was lying about the lack of smoke detectors. Just a shame that they do not seem to take pride in their properties. Sadly there isn't much recourse here except to inform other potential renters of the state of things.

This home is in need of some major TLC. I have stayed at this home before and was already familiar with the age and the things that were lacking. That said, it has incredible views, it's an ideal location, walking distance to everything with private steps to the beach below (mind you the steps are falling apart, rusted, broken, etc.; use carefully). More than anything, I was super disappointed with how dirty the home was at check-in. Piles of termite droppings, sand everywhere, beds carelessly made (full comforter on king bed), cheap, 1-ply toilet paper and all toilet paper leftover from previous guests (pretty sure this is a health violation), snack wrappers and used kleenex left under primary bed, moldy shower with an extremely foul smell, hundreds of dead bugs lining the sliders in downstairs bedroom, bedroom carpet is disgusting...the list goes on and on... Not what you expect for a rental that is $850-$2,000+ a night (we stayed for 10) The lack of care the property management company takes is beyond disappointing. This home does have 5 star views but the interior and exterior of this property are barely 2 star. ***Major filters are used on the listing interior photos*** It's really a shame, this is a beautiful location and Laguna is a place we visit frequently. Just beware; you can find many other properties where the rate reflects both the property and the views. In this case, you are paying a 5 star premium for a 2 star rental. :(

Great location overlooking the beach and spectacular views with stairs down to the beach. Walking distance to several restaurants, bars and shops. However, the cleaning should better. Also, the property management responsiveness was inconsistent. The interior and furniture are a bit worn. That said, this is a beach house where the salt air, sand, etc., would make up-keep more of a challenge.

We had to end our vacation, cancel our family from visiting us, and depart ahead of schedule due to bed bugs and the sewer backing up into the shower. Our son has 2 1/2” round red bed bug bites on his arm. We had to wrap all of our luggage in black hefty plastic bags and we are still washing all of our bags and laundry including all shoes, backpacks, and clothing. The shower was filled with raw sewage and smelled horrible yesterday am. The owners should also be aware the main suite bed is very uneven and slants down toward headboard. The front 3 stories of wood stairs are in very bad shape. Loose steps, rotted steps, dry rot, and nails / screws are exposed. We stayed here in 2019 and again last week. We will not be returning after this visit. We have been waiting for going on 2 days with no call back from the local management..

Beautiful view and close to shops and stores. We came down for UCI graduation. The condo was large enough to accommodate our family. It had a beautiful view of the beach with two separate balconies. The furniture could be updated. But other than that. It was a nice place to stay.

I had the privilege of spending an extended period of time at the beach house during the winter months and it is the perfect getaway in the most perfect location! Not one, but two decks with the most amazing views and steps from the beach. Needless to say, I really didn't want to leave....and I will be back first chance I get!
