Apart from the first evening we had a lovely stay.

Lovely furnished property and clean. Good quiet location.

The property was very cold upon arrival. The heating was not on and the upstairs bedrooms were 8 degrees! It took a while for the property to heat up and we had dinner in our coats! This was not a great start to our long weekend in the property.

Over priced, terrible customer service

Great location

The property is attached and the rear garden is overlooked by the neighbours from their rear windows and patio . The neighbours on the other side have an aggressive dog that twice tried to get through a flimsy bamboo fence to get to our dogs. The house could do with a freshen up as lots dust and cobwebs are present.the rear garden should have at least one life buoy as not everyone can swim .

A beautiful property in a rural location but we did experience some issues that did negatively impact our stay.

The property is in a lovely rural location, so really quiet & peaceful. The house was spacious downstairs, so with a party of 7 family members, there was lots of space downstairs for everyone.

A number of things were wrong, which did negatively impact our stay: - There was a window left open when we arrived in the evening, the heating wasn’t on & there was no firewood provided, so the property was extremely cold on the first night. We then had to buy our own firewood the following day to last the weekend, as the property doesn’t come with wood fire - don’t be deceived by the log basket in the photos! - The bannister on the main stairs is very wobbly & feels like it is going to come away, which isn’t ideal when somebody needs support to climb the stairs. - The booking didn’t inform that there were attic rooms, which had steep stairs to get too, with only half a bannister. This is quite dangerous. You also have to walk through a room with 2 single beds to get to a double room - this wasn’t mentioned either. - Considering size of property, it would benefit with further bathrooms. - Downstairs shower room had an issue with the drain, which caused an awful smell, that could be smelt in the kitchen from the pantry.

A perfect location for a family gathering!

The house was a really good size, it comfortably fitted 8 adults and two teenagers. We all had room to move around and be independent or together, depending on what we wanted to do. The bedrooms were well maintained, comfortable beds and everyone reported that they slept really well. The kitchen was well stocked, it had everything needed to cook meals and there was a really good selection of glasses, cutlery and crockery. The fridge was a great size, the dishwasher was a welcome addition and the dining room table was big enough to host us all together in the evenings. We navigated the boiler and kept the house nice and warm, the underfloor heating was ideal in the conservatory. The wood burners in the sitting room and the dining room worked perfectly, we enjoyed being able to light fires in the afternoon / evening. There was plenty of parking at the front of the house. The gardens were really well kept and I would imagine this house would be lovely in the summer too. We all had a really lovely stay.

A shower in the big bathroom would help to alleviate the queuing! I know there is one in the downstairs toilet, but ideally an extra one, upstairs, would be really helpful. A bit lacking on loo-roll, but we bought some more and left them in the property.

A beautiful house where you’ll struggle not to feel relaxed!

The Mill House welcomed us with a tea tray full of goodies, log burners in the main rooms and a kitchen big enough to cook, entertain and gather. Beautiful location next to the Mill Pond which enables you to sit outside and just relax listening to the water and watching the swans.

No negatives - just for awareness for anyone staying up on the 2nd floor in the top bedrooms. When we arrived it was a cold day and the top rooms were freezing - but once we had found the heating system ( read the black information folder left in the house), the rooms heated up really quickly and were lovely and warm for our whole stay!
