Located a half mile from the French Quarter, the Marigny is a safe, friendly, and laid-back area, rated as one of the top 10 hippest neighborhoods in the country by the "New Yorker" magazine. You will be in the middle of the Marigny/Bywater buzz, a short 5-6 minute walk to Frenchmen and about a 15 minute stroll to the French quarter, this central location is an ideal home base for your vacation. You don’t need to go far to discover why this neighborhood is a hidden gem — there is no shortage of bars and restaurants on St. Claude.
Getting Around:
The best way to get around is by foot, bike, or Uber/Lyft. Depending on your stride, the French Quarter is 10-15 minutes walking or a very short Uber away. But many, especially locals, prefer to spend time on Frenchman St. (less than a 5 minute walk) or in local galleries, restaurants, bars, and cafes in the Marigny and Bywater. Walking in this neighborhood is quite safe and common at all hours of the day and night. Use your common sense when coming and going late at night and take a taxi or Uber/Lyft if you are ever in doubt.

–The pool is open and heated from Labor Day through Memorial Day. If you are booking dates bordering these holidays and are interested in having the pool heated, please let us know and we will determine if this request can be accommodated with our winterizing schedule.
BUSINESS DISCLAIMERS
–We have a minimum age requirement for booking this rental. Reservation holder must be 21 years or older.
–We request that guests complete a guest verification process and sign an additional agreement prior to receiving any check-in information.
–We require that guests provide a valid credit card and piece of ID for identification purposes only.
–We do not accept peer-to-peer payment systems or any prepaid debit cards as methods of payment.
–Pets are not allowed at this property.
–Packages mailed to the property cannot be received by the host. The host is not responsible for lost or damaged packages and cannot guarantee their arrival.
–We use Arlo/Hikvision and Noise Aware in our homes. Arlo/Hikvision is a video recording system that has been installed at the front/back doors of the home’s EXTERIOR ONLY, for your safety. NoiseAware is a decibel monitoring system that we use to keep in accordance with local noise regulations.

As a host, I value being able to provide my guests with complete privacy. That said, should the rare maintenance issue occur, myself and my property manager are available to help.

Beautiful, comfortable house with plenty of space for 5 couples! Perfect home base for our New Orleans visit! Less than 10 min Uber ride from the French Quarter!

We stayed here as a family of six over spring break and loved the spaciousness of the house. Everyone had their own room, which was a big plus. The large kitchen and living area were perfect for family gatherings, and having a pool was a great bonus. The location was excellent—close to major French Quarter attractions, making it easy to explore. Although street parking was the only option, it was plentiful and typical for the area, so it wasn’t a major issue. We found taking Ubers around the city convenient and quick.The only downside was the communication felt a bit robotic, almost like talking to AI, which was off-putting when I had a real concern, but the responses were always fast. Also, the cleaning crew arrived over an hour before our scheduled checkout, which rushed us out unexpectedly. Overall, a great place for a family trip with just a couple of minor inconveniences.
