Not worth the money

The room needs an upgrade. Although it was clean the couches were quite dirty. The hallway was also not clean and the first impression was not great. The reception staff was not very helpful and quite sarcastic in their approach. The tv remote does not work. There is a balcony but with no chars to sit on. This is an apartment but with no kettle or even basic amenities. I don't think its worth the money you pay.

Excellent value for money

Very big room, neutral decor, nice balcony with distant view of sugarloaf, (rooms facing the front have superb views of Christ the Redeemer) comfy bed. Staff were friendly though I didn't need anything from them. Some reception staff don't speak any English so don't rely on that

It was easy enough to check in online (which is mandatory) but quite a rigmarole having to send copies of passport and a photo of yourself as part of the process. Not quite sure why as my passport was then copied upon arrival and another photo taken - this is required as photo recognition is used for entry. The common parts on the guest bedroom landings need updating. They have remained the same for about 20 years. I have previously stayed in this hotel under previous brands Ceaser and Mercure. room safe didn't work

Pleasant but disappointing compared with the pictures.

Location is close to the subway (5 min walk) and close to the beach. The shower have good water pressure. The internet in my apartment was ok, though in the room the sleeping connection was a bit sceatchy.

Amenities: from the pictures it looks like all apartments have kitchen area. This is NOT TRUE! Only the luxury and deluxe apartments have kitchens, the rest have only a mini size fridge and thats it. Appearance: all the furnitures in the pictures are there however they are quire run down and not very welcoming. The conch had stains, the office chair was a bit broken. Cleannes: my apartment (standard) was fairly clean (they have a daily cleaning service who also fix the bed) however both the apartment and the hallway smelled. also my bed had a faint odour of body sweat that didn't go away. Other facilities: the swimming pool and gym are located in the second floor (not on the roof as might be indicated from the photos). During my stay the gym was out of commission due to a collaps of part of the ceiling. The pool has a decent length for swim, though I didn't use it because it was too cold. Access to the beach: there is a major road between the building and the beach with an underpath that can be used only at day time (at night time it is dangerous). At night there is no easy crossing.

Large space, large and good table for working, good bed.

Relevant noise from the street. Noisy air conditioner. These issues were unpleasant, but possible to deal with during 2 weeks. If I return, I would pay attention and ask for air conditioner maintenance right from the start of my stay.

Comfortable and fair

Very good stay. Overall, the building is a little old, but it feels very clean. An upper side of the old buildings is the space. The room was very comfy with a lot of space. The hotel is very clean. The common areas are just ok. It is nothing to be used as a great difference from other places. But the fact that there are some facilities (gym, sauna, etc) in the building sure make the experience even better.

Actualy, I liked everything. I'd only improve the maintenance of the building. It happened two times. There was a shortage of water due to some problems in utilities.

We won’t be staying here again

Botafogo is a great area to stay. Metro station and restaurants and few minutes of walking away

You need to pay for towel and bed linen change. The toilet blocks easily. Nobody cared to repair ours so that in the evening the bathroom stood full of dirty water. The most disgusting experience ever had. Reception doesnt speak English and they pretend they cannot do anything to change the room and need to connect with “management” who at the end didnt care. Never again in this apartment complex!!

Good location close to Copacabana, metro, and Ipanema Room comfortable and if you work, has a good chair and desk Good attention of the employees. The parking is perfect, fair rates and with valet parking

The cleanliness services was very deplorable. The building doesn´t have any facilities like co-working, restaurant, etc The room has some things to be fixed

Stay only as a last option

Good location, shower with good pressure and heating (boiler)

Poorly maintained room, old stained paintwork, battered furniture. It did not correspond to the apartment in the photo in any way, including the sofa. Dirty looking elevator hall, stained carpet, bad smell.

Good size bedrooms.

If you want to get towels change or get your room clean have to pay extra. Few time I have even go to ask for toilet paper. the sink was clogged and few time cleaner not even done anything just left like it is. Yeah location is good room size is good other then that I won't recommend staying here.

Main thing is the value for money, rooms are Ok but unbelievably overpriced, not so frienfly staff. Can't call that a gym, its literally one broken multifunction machine plus some cardio equipment. Slow internet, careful with hidden costs..

Very Disappointing and not meeting the standard described

Good Location

Room hasn’t been cleaned at all during our stay, towels were not changed either. Very poor Wifi Connection. Curtains were not efficient for blackout in the room. No Dishes/Cutlery or anything in the kitchen area. One of our two rooms had no Safe. Not even a complimentary bottle of water was provided. 90% of the staff was not able to speak English.

I HAD TO CHANGE HOTEL

On arrival they give me a room with the balcony on the WALL of the other building on the side. I was reserving a room with the balcony on the road. I refuse teh room asking a room as I request. The reception said was not able to change the room. I call teh administration of LOBIE, but they say that they cannot change the room assigned. I had to find another hotel ... and they DID NOT GIVE ME BACH THE MONEY. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS HOTEL / RESIDENCE ORGANIZATION. EVEN IF IN THE BOOKING SITE WAS CLAER THE ROOM THEY RESERVE FOR ME

Disappointing

The location was amazing, and the room was very comfortable and clean.

It’s impossible to sleep with the A/C on as it’s extremely loud. And the room didn’t have a coffee machine and a microwave as showed on a photos.

Superb

It was really comfortable, helpful staff, 24/7 reception, great location, good value, great room + shower. The pool looked great but I didn't use it. I would recommend and I ended up staying there more than once with my fiancee.

The only down sides were that the WiFi was really bad and the gym was tiny/basic
