The location and privacy was fantastic.
My other half didn’t like the wasps lingering around the front door.

Lovely little hideaway, it’s super cute with lovely views. Hot hub is amazing. Bed was super comfy. It had everything required for the stay wouldn’t fault it and would go back.
We didn’t get a message about code to get keys from booking.com or information on where to park however called host and got all this pretty much straight away.

Absolutely stunning views. Such a calm and peaceful retreat. The cabin is private and you do not feel overlooked. The host was brilliant, so helpful and kind. The bed was also so comfortable - I was able to really relax and rest.

Shepherd's hut was cute and comfortable hot tub was amazing loved the fire pit we spent a lot of time around the fire pit and in the hot tub.
There was no instructions on how to put the hob on. Would've been nice to add extra touches like milk in the fridge biscuits wine.

Where do I even start! What a little slice of heaven. Exceptionally quiet and peaceful with BEAUTIFUL views.
I feel like Chloe ( the owner ) has honestly thought of everything. From extra towels to use in the hot tub to coffee pods for the morning brew. We loved the fact that we were so close to the little village with some gorgeous pubs ( Jacobs Well highly recommended ) and scenic walks.
With both myself and my partner running our own businesses, we were desperate for a complete shutdown, and WOW, this was it.
I will recommend this to everyone .
Thanks again, guys, and see you soon!

Lovely hut in a beautiful location. Well-appointed, cosy little hideaway. Clean and comfortable. Short walk to some nice pubs and bars - the tapas place is recommended. We would definitely stay here again. Ignore any negative comments from others. This is a perfect place for a few days away. It is small, but the clue is in the title (it is a hut!). Good communication with the host.
Nothing of note.

Absolutely everything!! What a gem this was. I’d 100% recommend this stay to everyone, the cosiest spot we’ve ever stayed at. We loved having a read through the little diaries of messages people have left, got a good few recommendations for things to do from them. We loved how secluded it was for our doggie who loved every minute away from the busy city life and work. The lodge was immaculate and very well equipped. We could not get the hot tub to warm up the first night but that’s our fault for starting it so late in the evening not realising how long it takes. The second night we got it nice and hot, it was the best thing ever after tracking for hours to the Victoria tower, through the muddy fields in the rain. It was a perfect finish and so so relaxing with a glass of bubbly. The host was amazing also! Picked up the phone straight away to guide us on how to enter the hideaway. We will definitely be back ❤️ we’re returning back to Birmingham relaxed and recharged until next time.
It could have had a little mop as I like to leave the place how we found it and it was stressing me out that I couldn’t mop the floor but that’s just me and my OCD haha

Love the tranquility and relaxation. The bed was comfy also.
On our second night it was very hot when going to sleep. We couldn't find a fan in the room. There was a portable heater and obviously the log burner. We had to open the windows to sleep and obviously woke up with bites. Which we expected to do given the location. We didn't ask the host for one as it was late. But I'm sure if we did they would accommodate. As from previous conversations where very accommodating etc.

Nice location, went to Jacobs Well pub and had good food
No lighter for the hot tub, No clear instruction on how the hob worked having never used an induction hob, Wasps nest outside so unable to open windows and soon became hot and stuffy in the property, Hot tub took over 4 hours instead of 2 hours 15 as mentioned, struggled to close the gate had to pick the fence up to be able to slide the lock across and line it up correctly.

Lovely stay - so relaxing and accommodating - would highly recommend :)
We couldn'y use the hot tub on the 1st night as it took way longer than informed - 4 hours had gone by and it still wasn't hot
but the 2nd night it warmed up & stayed really hot and it was lovely

The location of the hut, and the surrounding is absolutely beautiful. Lots of great food places to choose from, and lots of scenery to visit. The hut having shower and toilet facilities inside is a big bonus, plus the hot tub is a fantastic addition for the intimate relaxation break.
I wouldn't say there was anything we didn't like, but more that we did notice things that could benefit from improving. Whilst we were unpacking, we suddenly had a dog appear in the hut - whilst this wasn't an issue, it was of course confusing and a shock. We didn't read anywhere online that it states that this is a dog friendly place or that there is a dog who may visit regularly (this seems to be the case after reading the review notebook inside the hut) and it would worry me if anyone who stayed here has allergies, or fears of dogs and wouldn't be aware of this.
A big issue for us was that we didn't have a clue on how to operate the electric induction hobs, how to get the garden lights to work, how to get the hot tub started efficiently, and how to use the coffee machine. It took us till the next day to finally find some instructions which mentioned a few things, but not nearly as much as we needed to make our trip easier. If only the pre arrival email mentioned where the instructions were in the hut, we would've found our trip much smoother. I really do feel it would benefit your visitors to work on this.
As for sleeping, we personally found the bed really uncomfortable. The side where the brackets are sloped upwards so you feel hard pieces in your back. I do appreciate that the duvet and pillows are duck feathers which some will really appreciate however some of us are hot bodied and would benefit from a thinner duvet option if possible.
One last thing I will say which concerned me is that the fire alarm was missing - I managed to find it chucked inside a kitchen drawer. This needs sorting ASAP. It only takes something small and the hut would go up in flames, that would be devastating to lose such a treasure.

A cosy stay suitable for a couple days. The cabin is neat and comfortable and has everything needed for a little break. The hot tub was clean and very nice. The area has a lot of nature nearby, ideal for a hike or a nice walk.
I have nothing to complain about.

hard to find and located in someone’s back garden, dog mess all over the place. supposed to stay 2 nights but left after 1, asked for refund for night we didn’t stay and was met with a very rude response , would not recommend

Beautiful quiet location, tucked away so we could enjoy the privacy of the hut tub and enjoy listening to the birds in the morning. The weather was really bad on our stay but it was warm and cosy and well equipped in the shepherd's hut so it wasn't a bother.
We appreciate the people before us checked out late and were pretty inconsiderate with how they left the place but it would have been nice if the hot tub was already warming on arrival, we had to wait 3.5 hours before we could get in on the only nice day we had weather wise.

I never usually write a review, however this place deserved it!
We stayed for a couple nights at this quirky hut & we absolutely loved everything about it.
The hut was beautifully decorated & had everything you could possibly need.
It rained the first night, but that didn't stop us warming the hot tub & hut with the log burners, it was sooooo cosy! The location is perfect, literally a 10-15 min walk into the village with a local pub/restaurants 🍻 (which is always a favourite so you dont have to have a designated driver).
You have the views, the privacy and the homely feeling.. it really was just the best.
The host Chloe was so lovely and helpful, and her dog Toby was so well behaved with our little paws too 🐾
The rain passed the day after, we had a beautiful walk to Magdale Dam, upto Spring woods and back into the village (approx 1.30-2hrs) A Lovely day of fresh air & adventuring the area.
Our second night exceeded the first, we had no rain & so we managed to light all the candles and string lights, provided around the garden which was so nice when the sun went down, as the garden was even more so our own little haven, hidden from the outside world. It was everything & more, than you can expect from a deserved break from our busy lives! So peaceful and pleasing to enjoy the surroundings. I cannot fault this accommodation with anything, our stay was absolutely flawless ❤️
I have had so many friends ask me where we stayed and I would 100% recommend. It was just the best weekend away ever! This place is a MUST! ❤️
