The Bressmer

It was more than enough room for the group of 4 we had, clean and kitchen well stocked with items for cooking.

I am sensitive to smells perhaps because it is an older property there is a distinct smell perhaps an air purifier would help.

The exterior of the house is beautiful, then you get to see the apartment and it is equally stunning! The master bedroom ensuite mirror is made from a repurposed post office counter, which was really quirky and fun. Both bathrooms had walk in showers with plenty of hot water. All three bedrooms had comfortable beds - the master bedroom had a 4 poster and lots of windows. The kitchen had enough equipment for us to make breakfast and coffee. With regard to the location, it was about a 10 mins walk to downtown and was well placed for both statehouses and the Lincoln home. I can recommend Obed and Isaac's microbrewery for good beer, good food and lovely people - it's on the same street as the Bressmer on the way to downtown. There's no lift in the house so there's about 20 steps up to the first floor where our apartment was situated so be aware if you can't manage the stairs. One of the posts on the four poster bed was loose and when I contacted the owners, they immediately instigated the repair. I can't fault their response time and the information that we received leading up to our stay. I would not hesitate to book this place again.

We loved everything but it was a bit unclear where we were allocated to park our car. The only signage was for a towing company so we had to contact the Bressmer staff for clarification (which they did immediately). I would recommend a couple of signs at the parking bays to say "Bressmer parking" or similar.

The location was great. The house was spacious and met all of our needs for our family.

We were on the second floor, so I felt like we could hear the third floor occupants all the time so that was a little bit of a downside for me. Also, one evening we did her gunshots out our window not that we felt unsafe it was just un settling
