Addisons Baroon A Rainforest Retreat with Heated Plunge pool

●Beautiful location a short drive to Mapleton. ●Privacy ●surrounded by rainforest ●Lovely home ●Fireplace with abundant firewood ●Plenty of hot water ●Comfortable beds ●Ample parking ●Check-in instructions were easy to follow ●Communication with Simone was good.

●There were not enough towels. We were two friends, each in a separate room. There were only two towels left in one of the bedrooms. We were there for a two night stay. ● No pool towels. We didn't need them as the weather wasn't great so we didn't use the pool but if we did use it we had only 2 bath towels. ● One hair-dryer only in the house. Two bathrooms. ● Cleaning fee we felt was exorbitant ●Coffee pods fit the Nespresso machine but were a generic brand? ● The water is a brown colour - this is pointed out by the owners in their check-in information, but not everyone would feel comfortable drinking it. Bottled water would be a nice touch. At least for the first night of a stay. Our reason for responding NO to 'did the property meet your expectations'? - we have both stayed in properties at this price point and felt the welcoming vibe wasn't there. Little touches like fresh milk, bottled water, fresh bread, crackers, cheese etc or some snacks and wine are nice to have after travelling to the day's destination accommodation- there are local wineries and farmers who produce local cheeses and fruit etc which could be showcased to visitors in small hampers. There was a small packet of Lindt chocolates left which were appreciated. I have stayed in less expensive accommodation in the SC hinterland and had Beautiful welcome hampers-they do not need to be expensive. I hope we don't sound ungrateful-we just felt there was something missing.

Everything! The landscape, the privacy, the cottage was clean, comfortable, fully self-contained, and well maintained; and the heated pool is a luxurious add. Highly recommend.

Homely feel with plenty space. Bush outlook and very private. Also lots of wildlife especially birds.
