Sassi Dream Matera

We loved staying in this magical ancient town in a traditional Sassi cave apartment. The ground-floor apartment was conveniently located, with only a few steps from the main street. It had one bedroom with a double bed and two single beds for the children. The bedroom was equipped with air conditioning, while the living and dining area wasn't, but being inside a cave, it stayed comfortably cool. The kitchen was compact yet functional, with everything needed to prepare simple meals. Having a supermarket just a 2-minute walk (140 metres) away made self-catering very convenient. We also appreciated the coffee machine and complimentary coffee pods provided by the host. The apartment's central location made exploring Matera incredibly easy - everything we wanted to see was within a 10-minute walk. So many restaurants and shops nearby. We had a wonderful time in this magical city. Thank you to the host for the excellent communication and clear instructions. The flexible self-check-in and check-out process was simple and very convenient.

We would have appreciated a dish-drying rack and a bottle of olive oil for cooking, as these small additions would have made the kitchen even more practical.
