KARAT Villa Kanaria

A nice villa, lovely warm pool and jacuzzi, spacious outside and in, pretty well-appointed and comfortable. There was a lovely café just around the corner, a well-stocked shop, and a pretty good restaurant. I'd stay here again, if it was a bit cheaper, it was a bit pricey for what it is.

The setup with the business in the basement was a little odd. The lift went a bit mad a couple days in and went up and down every half hour, which was particularly unnerving because two of the rooms are open to the rest of the building, but ti be fair it was dealt with the next day.

Lovely property, great facilities, pool area very good & BBQ grill was excellent. A combination of a modern and traditional Spanish villa, 15 mins walk to the beach, 5 mins to supermarkets, shops, bars/restaurants etc. Staff were very good and helpful.

Some instructions on how to work lights/open doors etc would have been more helpful, however staff were always on hand. The 2 windows in the bedrooms are slightly strange - we have 2 kids under 2 so they did wake up the other room often. Some things need replaced. The roof terrace was lovely, it was a shame this wasn’t made more useful. A few tables/chairs up there would’ve been brilliant!

La maison est magnifique et relativement bien située, proche de tout à Adeje tout en restant dans un quartier calme. Il y a de la place, la piscine chauffée est un plus, et la terrasse est très agréable, même si malheureusement nous n'avons pas pu beaucoup en profiter en raison des températures de décembre. Le barbecue est top. Le rooftop, même s'il n'est pas vraiment équipé, donne un point de vue idéal sur le coucher de soleil.

Il faut savoir que deux des chambres (dont la principale suite parentale) ont une sorte de "fenêtre" donnant sur le couloir/salon. Fenêtre sans vitre, donc complètement ouverte... ce qui signifie que les ronflements (ou autres pour des couples qui souhaiteraient profiter pleinement des vacances...) ne rencontrent pas de barrière, et sont facilement entendus par le reste de la maison... A part cela, lors de notre séjour le jacuzzi ne fonctionnait pas (endommagé par un locataire précédent) et n'a pas pu être réparé de tout le séjour. Il a plu deux jours, et l'eau s'est écoulée jusqu'au milieu de la cuisine à deux reprises, malgré la porte et moustiquaire fermée... Enfin, il a fallu beaucoup se battre pour récupérer la caution, l'agence nous ayant accusé d'un dommage que nous n'avons pas fait ni même constaté. J'imagine que cela peut arriver, mais ça a considérablement terni l'image que nous avons gardé.

Lovely welcome pack of food when we arrived. Excellent villa, great size and modern with a traditional twist. Great beds and good sized bedrooms. We loved the pool and enjoyed the barbecue facilities also. Staff we contact for anything were always available and replied to my calls or messages straight away. Would definitely stay here again.

We feel an extra shower would have been good as 7 people only two showers was a struggle when going out. An information pack in the villa would be good with details of how to use things in the villa, where keys were for back door next to utility room, what’s in local area or nearby towns etc. Spare batteries for the air conditioning remotes as one didn’t work so had to keep borrowing from another room. It also took a while to get used to the holes in the walls of the two front bedrooms.
