Stromboli Trekking Accommodation - Room and Excursion for 2 included

Sehr hübsches, sauberes, zentral gelegenes Zimmer mit Meerblick. Kann ich empfehlen für einen kurzfristigen Aufenthalt auf Stromboli, um beispielsweise an der Tour zum Vulkan teilzunehmen. Die Tour selbst hat mit der Unterkunft nichts zu tun, wird von Stromboli Adventures durchgeführt. Man erhält an der Rezeption Tickets für die Tour, Start ist abends so gegen 17 Uhr, bei uns 18 Uhr. Die empfohlene Kleidung, Windjacke etc empfand ich (Mitte August) übertrieben. Ich empfehle Wanderschuhe, Turnschuhe gehen aber auch, kurze Hose, leichtes Oberteil zum Wechseln. Wasser und etwas zum Essen. Der Aufstieg ist schon anstrengend, kein Marathon aber eine mittelgradige Fitness ist empfehlenswert. Die Guides waren super, französisch, englisch, italienisch kein Problem.

The accomodation is just wonderful , the rooms are decorated simply with wonderful original artworks everywhere throughout the property. The hotel staff are welcoming and professional.The breakfast is very generous and many tastes are catered for ! The hotel is located right at the port and easy walk from the ferry and easy walk to the black sand beach

The trek is worth the view at the top BUT … need to know facts …The volcano trek is very hard in the heat even though you don’t leave the town centre until 6pm … with the hike up 2.5 hrs … one hour at the viewpoint for sunset and hopefully some volcanic action … the walk coming down is in the dark with head torches … got back to hotel at 1130pm, you do need to be fit and prepared for a fast pace both ways. You need to take 1.5 litres of water at least and take a dinner sandwich with you also .

Excellent location. 5min walk from the ferry, close to everything, and the included trekking was amazing. Got the packed lunch option for the hike too, and that ended up sufficient for two days. Staff is lovely and they make a great coffee. The trekking rooms are part of the hotel. Ours was on the ground floor/souterrain and had its own patio and gate.

There was communication hiccup prior to arrival, but that could be sorted out.
