Not a great stay

Very spacious house, easy to get to all the main attractions, quiet and private.

The house isn’t equipped with the things you need, especially the kitchen. The water smells funny and leaves a lot of stains on everything you cook in. The drain in the main bathroom does not work properly so water would come out through it. A lot of insects in the house, we also found 2 small lizards. Cleanliness could be improved a lot. The beds were not comfortable as the mattress is too hard. The owner lives downstairs and does not know English at all. We used Google translate to understand each other.

Nice stay in Skala Rachoniou :)

About 10 minutes car ride to Aphrodite beach and 5 minutes walk to Pachis beach. the house has a big garden, clean rooms, kitchen, balcony, big living room and 2 bathrooms. The host Akile was super helpful and understanding and helped us with every question/request we had.

Only one bedroom has AC and also there is one in the living room. We didn't necessarily need the AC in the bedroom but it would have been nicer if we could use it (in August the nights are sometimes hot). From the description we understood that the entire house is for rental but only the 1st floor was actually ours for our stay. The owner and his family stayed at the ground level. Everything was ok with them, but I think the description should be changed so that it is clearer what you actually book.

Very good

Location was great. Close to two nice beaches. Akile, the host that greeted us on arrival and bid us farewell at the end of the stay, was very welcoming. The house itself was a standard casual Greek house equipped with pretty much everything you need.

What we definitely didn't like was the fact that nowhere on Booking is it mentioned that the owner of the house lives on the first floor and is there all the time. In fact in the amenities section it says "Whole House" which is not true and you only get the second floor of the house. Had we known that, we probably would've picked a different location, since we are big international group of friends and we don't really go to bed early to put it mildly, and we don't want to cause issues because of that. That being said, there were no direct complaints from the owner.
