Villa dos Netos

Great communication from Jacqueline the day before our arrival and on the morning. We made contact as we left the airport and we were met at the property and let in. All very straightforward and easy. The property was perfect for our three generations of family. It is exactly as it is shown on the website. The pool is just an amazing asset, very well kept and not heated. There is plenty of outdoor seating and lots of movable umbrellas for shade. Two things to note, the garden and pool are alongside a very busy road and you can't hear yourself speak at times but you get used to it and you definitely need a car. Parking is tight but possible and only room for one car - worth noting if you are a group of eight - but there is a bus stop and taxi rank close by. BOLT taxis are cheap and very prompt. There are lots of very good restaurants within walking distance - namely Tribu & Jompra - incredible food and service. You won't regret booking this wonderful villa - enjoy if you do - we certainly did!

We had two challenges after arrival - an old alarm in the main sitting room the ticked constantly and the AC in the main bedroom was not working. After contacting Jacqueline and various Rental Valley contacts, both were promptly fixed within 24 hours. There was great communication throughout the whole process. First class support - well done Rental Valley.

Location is very good, close to several nice beaches. The pool is big and nice. The rooms are comfortable and well decorated. The property was clean

The house is located by one of the main roads in Gale, so there is noise from passing vehicles during the whole day. The garden, and particularly the grass, needs some care.

Great location and beautiful house, lots of space and natural light, with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Clean and well maintained. Very nice external area with a pool and barbecue.

We noticed water leaking when using the shower in the second floor bathroom so we avoided using this shower. Not an issue for us because the 2 other bathrooms were enough for the number of people there. But it is something to point out. Also, the living room sofa caused allergies in everybody when using it, so a deep cleaning should help. Overall really good place, just two small nuisances that didn't harm our enjoyment.

The property is spacious and there’s air conditioning in the bedrooms and main living area which is really essential in hot weather. On booking we had requested an early check in if possible as we were travelling with small children and had lots of baggage. The rental company and cleaners very kindly facilitated this request at no additional charge so that we could leave our baggage and change clothes appropriate for hot weather prior to the advertised check in time.

The property is situated in a very small village, Galé which is a decent drive to Albufeira itself which was a little misleading from the booking. It’s absolutely essential to have a car if staying at the property as there are no affordable decent supermarkets nearby and very limited restaurants/cafes. The footpaths are hazardous to walk if using a buggy with small children. We had a number of issues with the property which were reported to the rental company, some of which were resolved during our stay, others which were not. On arrival we were informed the air conditioning unit in one of the bedrooms was leaking water and they had just been informed of this by the previous visitors and as a result it would be a number of days before they could arrange a repair. The room was unusable as it was very hot and if the unit was switched on it poured water. Thankfully it was repaired the following day but the outfall/condensing units for the air conditioning poured water outside which pooled in the patio areas which was not dealt with. This was a hazard with small children. The ensuite shower was completely blocked from hair/debris from previous visitors. This shower couldn’t be used as the shower basin filled quickly and flooded. This was not resolved during our stay and is very disappointing as we had read a previous review from June 2025 pointing this out so they were on notice that this was an ongoing issue. We returned to the property one day to discover our clothes on an airer outside were moved. We were quite concerned that the security of the property had been breached. We queried this with the property rental company who after making enquiries advised the pool and garden maintenance team had been at the property. We would have been very happy to grant access for ongoing maintenance but expected we would have been given advance notice of this as we expected full uninterrupted privacy during our stay.
