A peaceful stay with everything we needed and a lovely hot tub to unwind in a perfect location.

We had a fantastic week at Sunnyside Terrace! The location is perfect — close to everything Matlock has to offer but still peaceful and relaxing. The property itself is cosy, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed for our 7-day stay. The hot tub was a real highlight after long days exploring the area, and it was always clean and ready to use. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and on call whenever we had a question, which made the stay completely stress-free. We’d happily recommend Sunnyside Terrace to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in the Peak District — we’re already looking forward to coming back!

Cosy cottage, hidden gem .

Lovely cottage, it was clean with everything you could need. Host were friendly and helpful. Central location to explore peak districts, lots of lovely walks nearby. Hot tub was great. Bed was comfortable, and interior of cottage very cosy .

The hosts were friendly with good communication. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with homely touches and comfortable beds. Loved the hot tub and the views were amazing. Lovely stay 💕

The bed in the main bedroom could of been bigger and the garden could have been prettier. The stairs were steep, but to be expected, but mostly it was excellent.

Excellent hosts, so many extras e.g. pots, pans, games. cupboard full of things for children to do. The hot tub was amazing. They have thought of everything. Beautiful cottage, near activities. Would be very cosy in the winter too.

Very hilly may not be suitable for elderly people if they do not have transport but was no problem for us. A little trek for food supplies.

Had everything you needed & more. Lovely relaxing cottage with hot tub. Also appreciated the goodies left by the owners, including the nice touch of fresh flowers in the lounge.too.

Perfect relaxing stay close to Chatsworth and lovely walking.

Beautifully decorated and modernised, but still in keeping with a lovely stone cottage. It had everything we needed and was super clean. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus.

Beautiful cottage perfect for couple or family

We went with 2 under 3’s and they owners provided a high chair, stair gate and travel cot for us which was great. There was a nice amount of space and the hot tub was a lovely treat.

Just be careful as the stairs are narrow

beautifully presented, cosy stay and would definitely recommend

immaculate, everything was very well thought out, lots of little touches like heat proof mat for straighteners, excellent hot tub

Bed was comfortable but very squeaky, even turning over in bed resulted in a lot of noise. Property is situated on top of a long, very steep hill - I should have researched this properly before hand so my own error but easily remedied by a cheap taxi.

Everything about this cottage is exceptional. The cottage is cosy, renovated to a high standard and the hot tub most welcome after exploring the local area. The owners made us feel welcome and at ease, with excellent communication. The cottage has everything that you need and more. The welcome basket and the Christmas tree were lovely touches.

Lovely cosy cottage

The property was situated a mile from the centre of Matlock so benefited from a location that was quiet with great views of the countryside. The cottage was cosy, clean and the owner’s attention to detail was second to none. It seemed as if they'd thought of everything, from simple 'conveniences' in the bathroom, to ice blocks for our picnic (which we'd forgot)! The welcome gift was unexpected and totally appreciated by us all (children included). The hot tub was lovely to come back to after a long day out in the sun (and a great place for an early morning coffee). A well-appointed cottage that was a pleasure to stay in.

We should have booked a longer stay!

Could not have been more perfect

Everything was perfect! The hot tub was lovely and all warmed up for our arrival as was the property itself - we have never been to such a lovely cottage and we fell in love as soon as we got there. The kitchen of dreams! Fully equipped (including flasks and tupperware for walks) and with thoughtful touches such as condiments and sliced lemons in the freezer. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. It must be noted the host was wonderful and very helpful, always keeping us updated and we knew she was more than happy to take questions or help whenever we needed.
