La Foresteria dei Baldi

Federica has the most lovely charming authentic Italian property in an historical farm compound. We were welcomed so warmly and given great tips for dining in Pavia. The property is spotless and parking being included is a great bonus. We would love to return. Absolutely loved our time there.

Sie ist perfekt gelegen, um sich Pavia und auch die Umgebung anzuschauen; Federica ist ein ausgesprochen angenehmer und hilfsbereiter Host, sie hat uns gute Tips zum Erkunden der Stadt und der Umgebung und auch für landestypische Restaurants in Pavia gegeben. Wir würden jederzeit wieder im La Foresteria dei Baldi übernachten und können es nur empfehlen.

The jacuzzi bath was quite nice, there was never shortage of hot water. There is a walk-in closet. The owner decorated the place in a charming matter. The owner speaks excellent English and she is very friendly in manner. The shared communal area on the first floor has strong wifi. The outside parking is free. It was a convenient location while traveling by the rental car, it was easy to drive to Pavia, Milan and around.

This is basically a B&B without breakfast. The location is absolutely not an "oasis of peace and quiet" - it is close to the major highway and even at night the constant humming is heard. The property is a condominium complex in a large residential faceless district, densely populated. There is always some noise - of electric saw or mower from the neighboring buildings. Lots of smoke from neighbors wood burning and just the pollution in the air. The room is on the second floor without the elevator, it is not soundproof, so you hear everything if there are neighbors. The heating is scarce and because of that it is constantly dump, there is mildew on the walls. The place is just cold in winter, despite the heating blowing fan - which is not provided in the bathroom. The bed is small and not very comfortable. The place is cluttered with unneeded things like a sewing machine, but bare necessities like window curtains are absent. There are no cooking facilities but there is a fridge. It is not a very practical room. Cleaning is provided only from 10 am till noon, if you are not out of the room during these hours, it's not cleaned. I ended up cleaning it myself. It is not easy to bring the car close enough to unload the luggage. The actual car parking is not guarded although the neighborhood is quite safe. It was a passable stay but not very comfortable, at added one more experience to avoid B&Bs in the future.
