Interior design, comfortable mattress, great air conditioning, very cozy and big size room, great location and beautiful view. Rooftop terrace with an amazing panoramic view of the old town of Nizwa. Just a few minutes to Souq. It's very important especially on Friday morning, when you can go to see a traditional goats and cows auction.

That I stayed there for just a few nights. It was dead too short. It's a special place and it made me feel like I'm a princess from "One Thousand and One Nights" fairytales. I could feel the magic in the air. Every time I opened that ancient window in my room, I could feel the smells of the perfumes from the Souq and I imagined magical carpets flying around the city of Nizwa. Exactly like in the Aladdin story.

We enjoyed our stay in the old walls of Nizwa. The traditional house had a lovely feel to it which was exactly what we wanted for our first night in Oman. The Wifi was excellent and the bed comofortable and we slept perfectly. Breakfast was amazing at the nearby Cheese Paratha as there is no kitchen in this old house. There are two cozy relaxation areas at different levels of the house and a roof top terrace with a fair bit of seating. We parked in the free parking by the wadi near the supermarket and walked in with our few bags.

It may have been better if we had received information on where to park before we arrived despite messaging on whatsapp and booking.com a few times, and had the reception staff be at the hotel when we arrived as it was difficult to contact them from an international number with no wifi (suggest putting wifi password inside the reception area if out and about). We waited for 40 minutes but it wasn't a huge inconvenience we were just looking for the exceptional Omani hospitality on our first night. The bathroom is a bit dated and had a leaky hose which made for a wet area. The Light bulbs need fixing in the room as only one was working but it didn't detract from the amazing ambiance of the traditional room. Rooftop was a little tired and unorganised and wasn't appealing so we went to a nearby cafe for rooftop sunset relaxation. I would have liked a document with some information on the renovation of the house and some of the history which was apparently back to 350 years. If you had lots of bags or enjoy modern brand new bathrooms this place may not be for you but was fine for us.

The location is great. Walking distance to the main sites. Very safe even though the streets are narrow.

The room was not as clean as expected. I suspect that the linen had not been changed and the bathroom was quickly cleaned. Also, there were no windows so it made the room seem rather dark. The breakfast was at a local partner. It was OK but not very clear that we could change options and pay a little more for our choices.
