La Perla del Mare, Terre Marine

Close the beach. 5 minutes from the train station.

Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our stay at this place, especially considering we paid £223 for one night. The apartment was not ready at the check-in time, and we received bed linen for only two people. I had to request additional linen and a pillow. The staff do not speak any English. The room with the double bed is extremely small and uncomfortably hot, with the air-conditioning unit positioned directly above the bed. Good luck to anyone trying to sleep under those conditions. The layout of the apartment is not good.

The location at the end of Monterosso was nice. It is close to the beach, There are restaurants closy by and more if you walk through the tunnel to the old town. The bed was comfortable enough. The kitchen is well equipped with crockery.

The company that runs this rental unti left us standing in the street for 45 mins whilst we waited for check in instructions to be emailed through. We had let them know mid morning there was an issue with the online ID system which meant we could not provide details that way. They could have told us then we could simply email them a copy of our passports but did not bother to let us know. When we arrived after a long train journey, I had to call them repeatedly to sort this out. They were also pretty unhelpful when the power in the unit went out later in the evening. It took them 5 mins to understand who I was and find what apartment we were renting. We had to find our way into the main apartment block and then ask a resident where the mains board was to reset the breaker. The unit is very small. It is a bit tired. The approach down the side alley is scruffy and so is the paintwork inside the property. The bed is comfortable but it is elevated so you have to go up and down a bunk bed style ladder to get to it and climb over anyone else in the bed to get out. Not ideal really.

You can not beat this location!! This is a great little space to use as a starting point for exploring Cinque Terra and very cozy to come back to each night. Equipped with everything you need for your stay!

It was fine for us - but people should be aware that you have to climb up a ladder to get into the bed. Not a problem - just something to know in advance for those with mobility issues.

the property is in the heart of Monterosso and so many good things! It was great being surrounded by the ocean and many restaurants.

it is quite small and we had to vacuum under the couch on our first night so we could use the sofa bed.

This was a cute, clean apartment unit. It was very tiny but contained everything you would need (fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine). Super close to the beach and restaurants.

We paid to use the underground parking spot that goes with the unit. I would just have used the public parking in hindsight. The spot wasn't easy to get in and out of, especially with a midsized suv like we had. The public parking was close by and would have been much, much easier.
