Golden Beach Paradise

The layout/landscaping was pretty, rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The pool/area was ideal with easy access to the stunning beach - where you have it pretty much to yourself!. Staff friendly and attentive. It’s a very chill place, good for switching off. They helped us arrange a day safari and massages on site were lovely! Ideal for families (I think) due to the rooms/pool/beach being close together.

This is more ‘things to be aware of’: You have access to the beach but the sea can be rough, i.e. it’s not ideal for children (though you can boogey board) The food was ok, but there are limited options close by. They all closed at 21:00 & some wouldn’t let us in at 20:20. No shops within walking distance so bring what you need or be prepared to get a car into Tangalle. This is a small thing but the music in the restaurant area was ‘elevator music’. Thankfully, they were happy for us to connect via Bluetooth of an evening.

An excellent hotel for a relaxing vacation! Direct access to the beach is a big plus, and the private beach, sunbeds, creates a romantic and peaceful atmosphere. The pool is well maintained. The room was clean, and housekeeping was done daily, which added extra comfort to our stay. Breakfast was varied, with options for all tastes, and the food was delicious and served in generous portions. Lunch and dinner are also available, and the dishes are very good. For Easter, we asked the chef to prepare dyed eggs for us, and he kindly fulfilled our request. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, responding promptly to all our requests. I highly recommend this hotel!

The location was fantastic, and we loved that it was a small place with only six rooms. Very quiet and peaceful. The beach is beautiful, and you can take long walks along the shore. The waves are very rough, so it’s not suitable for swimming. The pool and pool area was clean and the surroundings were beautiful. Dimantha and Ridmal were sooo nice to us and our kids, really heartwarming. Without them our stay would not have been the same.

The sun loungers were extremely worn out, broken, and uncomfortable—both by the pool and on the beach. The beds were also very hard, and some upgrades here would definitely help match the price level. Otherwise, the food was okay, though the selection was a bit limited if you don’t eat meat. Also, don’t book the car service from here—it’s extremely expensive (about double the price compared to all the other hotels we booked through during our trip around Sri Lanka).

Comfortable stay and good location. Not quite what we expected for the price.

Showers had no pressure and were electric.
