Marina Sol by Atlantic Places

Excellent location of the house. One of the best in Albufeira. Close to the harbor, and old town. The pool was excellent, garden was very roomy and comfortable. The rooms are very spacious and the beds where Excellent. The value in this house is location. The owner/manager was very prompt in dealing with our needs during the stay. Excellent service.

The house is in need of maintenance in alot of aspects. The showers are with heads that dont fit the fittings so the angle of the beam is off. The rollers in the doors in the showers are all done for and rumble and some are very stiff. Sealing in the showers was not good, so water kept splashing on the floor. The bathroom appliances were loose, the bathroom closets were water damaged. The Kitchen dose not have the quality or quantity of kitchenware that you would expect from the price of the house. All the windows that are from the living room to the garden are ruined, all have water damage and are foggy. The outside Aluminum windows are in need of repair. The windows in the rooms need maintenance, fixings loose. The outside Sun beds, had blue plastic linings on them that are supposed to be waterproof, but are not, so they always got sprayed by the grass watering during night and got wet, but easy fix to remove them and keep them on the patio. and then you would just want a normal lining since these are quite heavy and unmanageable. The lighting in the house needs to have Dimmers, no dimmers in the house, and the Bulbs that are in the house are very blueish, not a warm light. Some of the garden lights are faulty. Privacy from the house above is very annoying, the pool area on the house above is right where the entrance to our garden was so when there were 10 france young guys there partying, you where in the party. It needs some screening to get some privacy on the fence between the houses. The masonry on the house is cracking and needs repairs.

The layout of the bedrooms were brilliant. The garden was massive, and pool was wonderful! The property was clean - which is the main thing!

Some things were worn, such as shower doors, lamp fixtures, however by no means did it effect the stay.

Location was ideal for going to the Marina or Old Town by foot. We used Ubers for Old Town as the walk is up hill. Place is big and spacious and bedrooms are a good size and plenty bathrooms. Games room which the children liked to play in. Host on hand via whatsapp and very easy going. Re booked cleaners without any hassle - although cleaning should have been done properly first time round.

This is an expensive villa without any luxury that you would expect to come with the price tag. This is more suited for big groups of younger people splitting the price tag and going there to eat and drink outwith the villa. No meet & greet on arrival to show you around or provide instructions. We spoke to host the next day due to having to pay for the heated pool ( which felt the same as every other pool we have had in a villa temp wise but cost us an extra 300 euros) and had to tell him there were ants downstairs and upstairs in the villa ( he dropped off ant powder the next day for us to sort out ourselves ) and also had to explain the villa was not 100% clean ( dust all over stair hand rails and ants) and he sorted out the cleaners coming back a couple of days later. Inside furniture is basic/cheap and some broken , ie tv cabinet drawers broken and hanging out, knobs hanging off or missing on bedroom drawers. Couple of mattress sank when sat on, one shower leaked all over the floor. Sofa dirty and rickety. Kitchen lacks any extras, salt/pepper/oil/oven trays. Microwave knob broken and glass plate inside wrong size. windows in livingroom at pool side are filthy. Host tried to fob it off as blown windows but if you went outside and put water on them you could see it was a lot of dirt/water from the pool. Outside, plastic white sun loungers that were soaked everyday from sprinklers, and plastic table and chairs. Nice cream chairs to sit on but other furniture should match. There was no warning for the pool cleaner coming and he also didnt knock. So that was half a day wasted that we were unable to use the pool as he didnt leave until 1pm in the afternoon. Another day no water at the marina - we were not informed of this. Surely the host would know of planned maintenance.

location is amazing and it’s a very large property to accommodate big groups

some of the appliances did not work well, the showers did not drain well at all. The cost to heat the pool seems unreasonable given how long it took and that it never did get warm
