Great location, charming building 😊

Excellent location, in town with lots of restaurants and bars. Great facilities with everything you ‘d need, with lots of extras I.e. pasta, spices, cleaning products etc. which really made me feel at home. Fred, the owner was brilliant, very helpful and communicative, thank you. The property is full of charm, on three levels and stone construction, and a lot bigger than the photos suggest.

Nothing, however, it is an old property with lots of charm , if modern living and facilities are what you are looking for, it may not be for you.

Good location, with a few comments

Saint-Brieuc is an old town and this apartment is located in the old center. It means that you enter the center directly, but you'll have to be lucky to park your car nearby. You can see Saint-Brieuc in one day, and from there you can visit other places as it is rather central in the north coast of Brittany. The traffic around and in Saint-Brieuc can be a challenge, so make sure you don't drive during rush hour. But you can drive along the coast and its charming villages, make trips to Île de Bréhat (highly recommended!), Dinan and even to Rennes. The apartment is simple, charasteristic, and the host is very friendly and lives nextdoor.

The apartments kitchen was not very clean and I missed some kitchen utensils (where French kitchens are usually well equipped!), but that is not a big deal. A good mirror in another room than the bathroom would be a good idea. The ones in the hall hang way to low for a normal Dutch, and are probably on a correct height for a French granny ;-). What did annoy us a bit, is the way people drive through the street, with screeching tires and high speed over the cobblestones, like lunatics! The apartment is located on a corner of a small cobbled street that rises rather steeply, and some people think you need to speed up to the max to reach the top.. As we like to sleep with a window open, we were happy to notice that these idiots usually drive during the day.

Appartement décevant/photos. Pas d'armoire ni penderie dans la chambre ni ailleurs. Sdb avec douche peu commode. Rien à voir avec les commentaires qui nous avaient incité à choisir cet endroit.

Une belle surprise

Un séjour de rêve, dans une petite maison sur 3 niveaux (dont le lit en mezzanine) très confortable et accueillante, vivante. On n'a manqué de rien et l'hôte était très sympathique.
