A gorgeous home from home!

This apartment was a delight. It was in a very quiet residential area, a two storey house full of character and homely furnishings including a piano, lots of books and dvds. To reach the upper floor was via a steep staircase, so probably unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was fine. Kitchen facilities perfectly adequate, and the washing machine was a bonus. Our host Peter lives in a separate house a few steps away. He was extremely helpful and kind, leaving a welcome couple of bottles of wine, cheese, bread, fruit and other items in the fridge. He also provided us with a car parking badge ( valid for up to 2 hours outside) and advised where we could park for free long term, only a 5 minute walk away. We were pleasantly surprised also when Peter said he would bring us breakfast on our first morning, as this was not expected. And it was lovely and fresh, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, rolls, pastries, ham and cheese. Fab! We were very comfortable there, and enjoyed several hours in Middleburg, plus a gorgeous seafood restaurant in town called Basalt, about a 15 minute walk away. There is also a superb supermarket quite nearby called Jumbo which has a great variety of produce. A lovely base for exploring other local towns such as Domburg and Veere.

Schönes Stadthäuschen im Herzen von Middelburg mit tollem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Sehr netter Empfang durch den Vermieter. Schönes Haus mit im EG großer Küche und großem, gemütlichen Wohnzimmer. Über eine steile Stiege geht es ins OG. Das Bad ist groß mit Dusche und Fenster. Separates WC (ohne Fenster). 2 Schlafzimmer (2+1 Bett und 1 Bett). Alles praktisch und mit Geschmack eingerichtet. WLan ist vollkommen in Ordnung. Ganz toller Service durch die Vermieter. Der Kühlschrank war schon mit Softdrinks, Bier und Wein befüllt. Dazu noch Butter und Joghurt. Auf dem Wohnzimmertisch begrüßte uns eine Flasche Rotwein und etwas zum Knabbern. Am ersten Morgen brachte uns die nette Vermieterin ein leckeres Frühstück mit einem ganz tollen, frischen OSaft vorbei. Nicht weit zu Fuß zur Bäckerei. Mit Hund kann man am Morgen einen Besuch mit der Frührunde verbinden. Das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße nicht sehr weit von der Innenstadt entfernt (10 Gehminuten). Wir kommen sicherlich wieder.

In der Küche hängt ein Gerät was in einem hohen Ton piepst, stört aber lediglich ein wenig beim Aufenthalt in der Küche.

Hele aardige en gastvrije eigenaar. Huisje lag op een top locatie en was van alle gemakken voorzien. Alles zeer centraal in de buurt.

Heerlijk ontspannen en gastvrij!

We waren hier een nachtje voor Oud en Nieuw en de verjaardag van oma, en het is ons prima bevallen in de Zeeuwse Klei! Ontspannen en supervriendelijke ontvangst, met allerlei lekkers dat klaarstond, zelfs voor het hondje! Ontbijt was ook heerlijk, dus al met al een heerlijke korte stop, en zeker op de lijst voor een volgende keer familiebezoek.

Ongedwongen heerlijk verblijf

Door afwezigheid host werden we aangenaam verrast met een heerlijk flesje wijn en een kaasje dat al mooi op ons stond te wachten. De afbakbroodjes hebben we dan zelf ook maar afgebakken die ons de volgende ochtend goed smaakte.
