Charming house full of character and interest. Great location.

The style was charming, the furniture a treat and the paintings were interesting. House warmed up well and was cosy but not at all small. Location was super central. Good communication from hosts. Lots of useful extras-Loved the coffee thank you!

The kitchen was cold and not so fresh but it did have a radiator and all equipment we wanted. I guess it was just due to the fact it was an old type of single storey construction! The house was cleaned but not spotless. Be warned the stairs are steep and there’s a step down and up between one of the bedrooms and the bathroom.

Everything a holiday rental should be.

Excellent central, but very quiet, location. Very clean and well maintained throughout. Comfortable beds with quality linen and plentiful towels. Thoughtful extras ( fresh flowers, bread, milk, biscuits, cake). Personal welcome from the owner.

For guests intending to cook, it would be helpful to have a few additions to the existing basics; a general all purpose chopping knife, a pair of oven gloves and a larger, non-stick saute pan.

Superb accomodation

Beautifully maintained property in a perfect location very close to Clitheroe town centre. Its about 3 mins walk through the church yard at the end of the lovely quiet street. Spotless clean and high quality furishings throughout. The beds are so comfortable,, we all had great nights sleeps. There is a very well equipped kitchen to include a dish washer., washing machine and microwave. There are lots of utensils. crockery and cutlery. Thanks you for your hospitality Phillip and Theresa. We will be back soon.

Lovely house in a great location, the owner was very kind and left milk, bread and other food items for us. The only downside was the bed in the front bedroom was very soft mattress and we found it very uncomfortable to sleep on.

Old House oozing character and charm

Very close to the centre of Clitheroe, so very handy for walking to the shops and other attractions in the town. Lovely old house, oozing character and charm. Very comfortable. Quiet location.

The only issue for me was the car parking. I sometimes had to park elsewhere on the street as the space outside the house had been taken. I found myself having to park outside other houses, which I wouldn't normally do.

Exceptional

It's a lovely little house with full use of all amenities, it's clean well presented and comfortable with added extras such as bread and milk waiting for you and even biscuits 😀. It's ideally situated and just less than a 5 minute walk to the town centre. The house is stocked with games and books and even has a fully working outdoor toilet (it does have a fully fitted bathroom as well)

Lovely stay in Clitheroe

The host met us at the property and showed us around, they had left us basics like bread, milk and some biscuits and cake, as well as Tea, coffee, sugar. This was very welcome and appreciated. We had two sets of keys which was really useful, so we could come and go without our parents. Bedrooms were comfortable, with plenty of storage, and a fully equiped kitchen. Separate dining room, nice to play games in the evening, and a good size lounge

We had a bit of difficulty getting the central heating on, and there was only one small sofa and two chairs. However, they were comfortable and adequate for the time we spent in the accommodation. Our parents did find the stairs very steep and tricky, but managed admirably. Overall The accommodation had everything we needed, and we had a very enjoyable stay.

Location was great.

Very cold, the property had obviously not had any heating on for a while when we got there. Was told that the heating was programmed to come on through the day. Got there at 4pm, went out for 3 hours and when we came back it was off, very cold for February and cold all evening.

Very happy with our stay and would come again.

It was a really great place to stay. It was comfortable and warm and very well equipped. We were very happy to have found such a great wee place and in a great location.

The only problem we had was with the mattress in the front bedroom which was very soft for us as we both have bad backs. Both of us slept poorly. However, we were fortunate that the bed in the back bedroom was much more comfortable and we slept much better the second night.

Absolutely perfect location. The house is lovely inside with a traditional feel. Beautifully decorated, very comfortable beds. I won't hesitate to rebook this next time I need to stay Wonderful , The host was great. Met us earlier than planned and was very thoughtful. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely house. Oh and its just a few yards from the town !

All the added extras were a really nice touch. And the bed was so cosy . It was like sleeping in the clouds It was so snug and fresh . Location was fantastic . Really could not fault anything . Would 100% recommend it .

I wanted to stay forever. I love antiques. The decor was beautiful. The main bedroom was very spacious. My daughter and I both loved the games, puzzles and books provided.

We found the kitchen very chilly even though we turned up the heating panels.

A blast from the past with taste

Absolutely gorgeous house. Modern kitchen with everything you need including tea, coffee, milk, butter, jam and sauces in the fridge. Heating was good. Quilts heavy and warm for cold nights. Shampoo and shower gel in bathroom with thick large towels.

Toilet flush a little strange but it's a victorian style toilet so could be the reason why. Chairs and settee in living room look great for the inkeeping of the era but not very comfortable for an evening in chatting and chilling.

We had a lovely week, it felt like home from home.

We loved the beautiful Victorian furnishing and decorating! The kitchen was modern and well-equipped, with very well-stocked cupboards for food and cleaning essentials. The central heating was very efficient. so all in all, a very comfortable stay! The house is in a quiet street but very close to the town centre -perfect!
