Beautiful, spacious and newly renovated apartment with large French door style windows. Very secure building. Located on the 4th floor with a small elevator and stairway access. Courtyard view. Comfortable king-size bed. [Note: I have a bad back and I was very comfortable with no issues on this bed.] Awesome shower with rain-style showerhead and hand-wand showerhead; good water pressure and lots of hot water. The small sink has two large drawers below it to stow bathroom articles (which was very convenient). Beautiful faux wood tiles throughout with a wool rug in living room and pretty comfy couch. There is a nice little kitchenette with large refrigerator/freezer, stove, and sink. There is a pull-out couch but, the master bedroom is separated by wall with an interior window (with curtain) which would give visual privacy (when curtains closed) but, questionable sound privacy. [Note: I was alone so not sure.] Large flat screen TVs in the living room (worked great) and smaller flat screen in the master (didn’t use). Wi-fi worked great. Lots of closet space to stow luggage. I loved that the building was immediately next door to a grocery store and across the street from a pharmacy. There is also a take-out Chinese restaurant immediately across the street with a delicious selection. It was about a 10 minute walk to the metro number 1.

There is no AC which could be a problem during the summer. In addition, accessing the apartment for the first time was a bit confusing since there is nobody to greet you when you arrive and the instruction leave out an important detail. Specifically, the apartment key is located in a combination lock key box that has been attached to the inside of one of the apartment mail boxes. The instruction explain which mail box but, what they DON’T tell you is the box is not locked. I had to call management and they informed me that you can tap on the mailbox door or use your finger nails to pry the box open. Another potential issue is the apartment door self-locks when it’s closed and eventually somebody is going to leave their key inside and be locked out. And if this is discovered after business hours, not sure how the renter will get back in since this management company does not seem to pick up their phone after hours.
