What a fabulous accommodation option. Right from the outset the host, Janaka, was extremely welcoming with a cold juice to start our visit. The location is amongst a forest setting with a variety of bird life. The rooms were large, clean, a comfy bed and cool air-conditioning. They offer a delicious home cooked meal and cold drinks (including beer), as well as breakfast. If you're staying at Mihintale, then can't recommend Janaka's accommodation highly enough. Also recommend late afternoon visit to the Mihintale Temple complex (5min away by vehicle). Plan to be there for sunset.

Great interesting stay, the owner and his son were very kind, welcoming and nice people. The room was cool and the location was different! We got dinner with them which was nice and the owner suggested something on the menu that was much better value for money than what we were going to order which we appreciated.

Leuke huisjes midden in de natuur met mooie verlichting op een verzorgd terrein. De eigenaar was bijzonder vriendelijk en heel erg behulpzaam. Het eten, gemaakt door zijn vrouw, was erg lekker.

De accommodatie ligt wat afgelegen. Je moet met een taxi of een tuktuk om op een wat drukkere plek te komen.
