Thanks to the wonderful amenities offered, this place truly felt like a second home. I especially appreciated the warmth of being able to bring our dogs along, making the experience even more special.

Although it feels quite isolated, it's simply part of the experience of being on the island. The beach on the bayside wasn't in the best condition, which was disappointing, so we made the short drive to the ocean side for a better beach experience. Thankfully, it was only a quick three-minute drive, allowing us to make the most of our time there.

Vacasa could be better. Cancelled our stay the day before, which we had no idea about because who cancels someone stay the day before a trip? They need better response time if they’re going to cancel your stay since I made the reservation 2 or 3 weeks ago that DID state our age to get try to get approved. While they did eventually let us stay and we appreciated it, they did not tell us they were working on this until 3 hours later. During those 3 hours, we were scrambling to find a place to stay and that would take pets. We checked Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Fort Morgan, Pensacola, Panama City, Navarre Beach, Destin, and any other nearby location. Only one location was available: one in Panama City…but for the next day. We booked it as we had no other option for $2,975.00. After we were eventually approved to stay by Vacasa, we tried to get a refund and we received some of it, but not all. We lost $600 and an afternoon we had planned out at Fort Morgan because we didn’t get to go into the house until around 9:45 that night. We had made it to a hotel in Pensacola an hour and a half away that we could stay for the night, and then had to drive an hour and a half back to the original location we had booked with Vacasa. As that day was ruined and Vacasa cost us more money that we should not have had to spend, it would be better if Vacasa would pay the the remainder of the refund that we did not receive back. There is no question about it that they ruined the first day of our planned trip. We were looking for a place to relax as one of us is a nurse and the other a graduate student. The trip could have been better and I would like to talk to someone about a refund or to pay $600 for the refund we did not receive back. I can send the invoice over.
