La casa con il terrazzo,via arizzi Ortigia

Location excellent. Size of the apartment and good aircon. I was comfortable here. Nice and quiet. Private terrace great.

Owner insisted on cash payment and also charges extra for towels. She collected tourist tax that was not mentioned on booking.com ( it usually is) She sent me helpful info about check/in but then a few hours before my arrival was encouraging me to cancel with booking.com and deal with her directly at a lower price. I was uncomfortable with this and said I would stick to the contract we had. No WiFi in bedroom upstairs Stairs v narrow hard to get suitcase up.

Host was very friendly and gave great instructions on finding the place and getting in. Location was in the windings streets of Ortigia which was awesome. The place felt like a home instead of a hotel. Plenty of space. A/C, WiFi, terrace, kitchen were all great. She let us check in a little early which was a huge relief for us.

Water pressure was pretty low. That all.

El apartamento son dos plantas, y la superior (habitación y terraza) están muy bien. La cama es cómoda y grande, y la terraza está bien aunque en mi caso salí a verla un momento y poco más. La ubicación es muy buena.

El principal problema que tiene la casa es la ducha: sale muy poco agua y con una presión mínima, lo que hace casi imposible ducharte si tienes el pelo largo. La parte de abajo de la casa es poco útil y oscura. El check-out a las 9 me parece algo temprano. Las ofertas de paseos en barco de los familiares, algo insistentes.

We liked the space and some of the furniture in the venue; we liked the location.

We did not like - * the way we were welcomed by 'the man living on the corner' - who was he spying on us? * the key-box, as it was for even hard and difficult for a man, to open. * the fact that not even one glass was matching the other ... tragic! * the bathroom area with mold against the ceiling and in the shower - it was creepy; simply unacceptable. * the very old rusty washing machine in the bathroom, the second fridge in the kitchen and the additional cupboard in the one room. * to let people pay for the quality of the towels is a sin. * the cash transaction is a definite NO; still waiting on receipt of payment as promised. * one would think that soaps and shampoos are standard these days?
