Peggy Hill Cottage

Very comfortable cottage in an excellent location - 2 min walk to centre of Ambleside. Comfortable for a family of 4 adults and a dog. Two ensuite rooms with a bonus toilet next to living room. Boot room was an excellent idea - we used this as our primary entrance to change shoes, leave jackets, dry the dog etc. Well stocked kitchen with pans, pots, cutlery etc. Views to Wansfell and Loughrigg from the bedroom windows. Parking permit was super useful (can also be used in other towns). On street parking also available in the streets close to the cottage.

Nothing big, just noting small things here that other guests can bring themselves: - cottage does not have throws (you may want to bring your own to use while using the sofas in the living room) - bring your own laundry tablets (there were a few dishwashing tablets available). - there were no spare bin bags (it would be useful to have at least one more bin bag if you are staying the whole week). - small bowls and pizza cutter would be useful additions to the kitchen (the smallest bowls were more like porridge bowl).

It's a lovely cottage well located in the heart of Ambleside, great views and super for a cosy winter break.

Arrival and drop off was awkward (explained as part of the booking), otherwise only small issues, nothing of note.

The location is fantastic. Easy to get to all Ambleside attractions. Very clean and cosy cottage. Facilities are great.

One small niggle- the twin bed mattresses are very soft - not great for sensitive back, but the place itself is lovely
