The rooms were a real standout. They looked newly renovated and overlooked a beautiful garden, where you could hear the chanting and a nearby stream from the window. The traditional futon beds were comfortable, and the food was beautiful and far exceeded my expectations for vegan cuisine. The location was perfect for exploring Koyasan, one of the most awe-inspiring places in Japan.
Nothing. It was perfect.

The property is beautiful. There is a rock garden and regular japanese garden with a koi pond. The room had beautifully decorated screen doors. The bath was great. And of course the buddhist ceremony followed by a meal were calming and excellent. Staff were also very kind.
No complaints.

Very good, clean and specious apartment set up in Japanese style. The location was very good and quiet at the mountain.
The food served was not tasty and vegan only.
