Wonderful

Beautiful hotel in beautiful natural surroundings. Food was excellent and the staff delightful. Its an old mill and the retained original features and the mill race were very impressive. Must be wonderful outside in the summer.

Be aware that their cheapest room is very small. Very different to the room we immediately upgraded to that was lovely, but understandably more expensive.

Can’t wait to stay again and maybe linger for longer

Everything - would detour just to visit again - evening meal excellent and breakfast very good ( once you overlook the oddity of choosing everything on a form the night before)

We had the smaller of the six rooms - which was fine but a tad tight along bed edges - worth looking for larger rooms - we will on forums returns

The property is in a beautiful quiet and very rural area a short distance from the main road travelling south from the channel tunnel,and importantly dog friendly. Lovely restaurant serving excellent food and very friendly staff.Perfect.

Lovely setting but a bit disappointing overall.

Lovely old building, very well converted, in beautiful quiet location. Super gardens and terraces (though our weather didn’t allow us to enjoy them to the full!). Good parking. Comfortable bed.

Dinner was a bit disappointing, as was breakfast. Staff helpful but maybe a bit inexperienced. No lounge.

A mixed experience

The Moulin is a beautiful old building but inside is quite modern. The location is off the beaten track so it is quiet. The grounds are beautiful. I appreciated the walk-in shower and ours was hot but our son's quickly went cold.

We found the menu a bit pretentious and there were no relatively 'plain' options. We felt breakfast was overpriced. We had to order the night before and your allocation is then set out on the table. We felt one small roll each was not enough. The wines were expensive when compared to the other places we have stayed.

Lovely building, but rooms do not match

The hotel is a beautiful building from the exterior, in a lovely location, and set in beautiful grounds. The dining room was nice, and the food in the restaurant was of an excellent standard.

The rooms and interior, apart from the dining room, are modern and lack the character of the exterior. Our room had no wardrobe and only had two hooks on the wall with two hangars on each.

What a lovely property, charmingly situated along side a brook. We dines on the terrace for both our evening meal and breakfast. For dinner we had the 7 course tasting menu and the food was sublime- just brilliant.

Little Oasis stopover.

Location was lovely! Gorgeous grounds. Bed was big and comfy..spacious bathroom. Restaurant set menu was great...and we were allowed to take out well behaved dog as well!

The toilet light came on automatically...which may seem helpful but not when you want to get up in the night! Also, the flush was really noisy. Breakfast was a little underwhelming for the price.

This is more of a restaurant with rooms above than a hotel. The room was very small, no air con, only one window above the restaurant, so noisy. Breakfast was not good value for money either. Whilst dogs are allowed, we kept ours on a lead as the grounds did not seem safe for a dog.

A gem in the forest.

We have stayed here once before and our request for the same room was met. The level of comfort and cleanliness is of a very high standard. Our room was attractive and bright. Our dog was warmly welcomed. Breakfast was well presented and organised. Th staff are friendly and helpful. Le Moulin Fouret is a place to which we will return.

I think the restaurant could perhaps be refurbed but do keep the candles on the tables !The menu is limited and while our starter of mushroom soup was the best we have ever tasted, there could perhaps be more choice with the mains.

A beautiful hotel in lovely grounds. The rooms are comfortable and stylish with all the practical things required. I had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant and breakfast was delicious too. The hotel staff were charming and helpful. My dog was made very welcome. I will definitely return.
