Owl Booking Villa Xino - 10 Min Walk to the Old Town

The villa is c15 mins to walk to Pollenca, the road there and back is used by cars and there is no footpath, but everyone drives slowly and carefully so we never felt in danger. The pool is 9m long meaning you can get a good swim workout should you want to. There is also a gym behind the nearest Lidl (5 mins drive) which is excellent for a workout and cost me €40 for a 1 week pass. It’s easy to drive to the Port for lunch and some shopping so this villa is really well placed to base yourself from. The Aircon is excellent and we woke up cold some mornings on 19 degree setting. TV took some working out (instructions non existent) but we managed to get the World Cup on eventually.

We had a couple of failures whilst there: 1. Coffee machine - no biggie (Nespresso original capsules, if you like coffee) 2. Fuse board tripping every minute which stopped the Air Con and Showers - big deal in that heat The management company have a WhatsApp channel and they were excellent, everything was resolved really quickly with no drama. We ran out of hand soap, (not topped up midway through) and there was no liquid hand soap in the kitchen and not much washing up liquid. I know these are really minor things, but the villa is expensive and whilst small details, I expect this for the cost. Finally, the bedroom downstairs doesn’t have much room around the bed, especially at the end of the bed, I would remove the table/thing at the end of the bed and replace with shelving to change this.

Location was very good,so you could walk into Pollensa -although 10mins to the old town was really to the outskirts - say 30 minutes to Calvari steps(the centre) -pool excellent,table tennis table also.Great shower and plenty of bed options for a large family.A car is needed if you want to go into Puerto Pollenda or for a sea swim.(Good car/price OK motability - but watch for signage back at airport - seriously poor -remember where the main car park was when you started out)

In recent holidays in England,the welcoming pack has been great, but here after a flight and drive usually late at night it was poor and for nominal cost (relative to the overall cost) ,milk,wine,bread,butter,and a few local items cheese/ham etc would be appreciated.Mosquitoes were a bit of a problem -we went in September and particularly bad this year.We'd love to go again but perhaps in June.
